I've been watching James Bond all my life - first, when I was 12 years old. He has been somewhat of a dream machine for me. I saw the film as a child, as a teenager, as a young married man, as a father, and now as a 70 something.
Time goes by, Fleming is gone, Connery is gone, Louis Armstrong is gone, it's in evitable. This thrilling movie climaxes in such a way that no Bond film ever has, or ever could. I know it says James Bond will return, that's taken for granted. Remember, this is fiction. All good things come to an end.
This was a thrilling movie, with homage to the past. It is 2022 in the year of our Lord, and the dream Child of Ian Fleming's Secret Agent hero has been around for a lifetime. I expect to see more thrilling Bond, James Bond as long as I'm still here.
