Prometheus (2012)
good movie "If You Choose To Believe"
This is one of the worst movie to have come out this summer. Although special effects are very nice, the story is as crappy as it can get. Characters are poorly developed and there are lots of plot hole. The movie does not provide any answers to the questions it asks. Well to be honest you will be asking yourself "Why did they do this instead of that?" throughout the movie. Please see Jay Stone's review about all the questions you will ask after you've watched the movie. Not worth your $10. Wait for a DVD or blue ray and pick and incredibly uneventful day to watch. Don't get fooled by the hype and the fact that it was made by Ridley Scott. Idiotic. Gullible. Abysmal.
Housefull (2010)
Absolutely Rubbish Movie
I went to watch this movie with out much prior knowledge of the director. I don't really watch Hindi movies a lot and this (movie) is one of the reason why I have stopped watching them. "Does the director really think the audience is that stupid?" was my reaction. I felt really insulted watching this movie. I laughed only once through out the movie. First part is absolutely pathetic. Second part is barely watchable. The movie is really painful to watch. If it wasn't for my wife I would have quit 20 minutes in to the movie. The director owes me $12 and 2 1/2 hours of my life. The only good thing about the movie is watching the actresses. I am forced to give it 1/10. Shame on the director and the rest of the crew for making such a worthless movie.
Dear John (2010)
Not worth the time or money
The movie was not worth our time or money. Me being a guy did not, and I stress, did not wanted to watch this movie. But my girlfriend dragged me into watching it. I cannot say I enjoyed the movie, but all the actors preformed well. I liked the roll played by Richard Jenkins. He and Channing Tatum had a good father-son relationship on screen. (Better than his relationship with Amanda Seyfried). The plot was very week and did not develop the characters well. The movie overall lacked spark. It is too long and boring. However, the cinematography was very good. I would rather spend my money on a nonsense action or comedy flick than this mombo jumbo.
Rising Sun (1993)
Good movie about the book The Rising Sun
The movie is adapted from the book Rising Sun (1992) written by Michael Crichton. The movie follows the book in the most parts but misses to explain the book thoroughly. People who watch the movie without reading the book might be confused but director Kaufman has done a good job. The only bad thing about the movie is the development of characters. But if you read the book it will be much clear. The movie is basically about solving a murder case that was motivated by political and business war between Japan and United States. The mystery is good but the action in the movie was sort of unnecessary. The understanding of Japanese culture is equally important. Good movie not great...I give 6.5/10.
