Color Out of Space (2019)
The color of the "Thing".
I can understand why many didn't enjoy this movie. Yet, although I can see plotholes, stupid illogical actions taken throughout by all actors. I found "Color" to be entertaining story after a rather slow start. With Good CGI. Enough Horror to keep me interested. Yes Neeson acted well as a crazy dude. All others did their best with script & material they had to work with. Visuals were good using purple flood lights to good effect. The dog deserves merit too. I won't be harsh with my marks 9/10. Because the film entertained me more than any other 2019 film I've seen.
The Outer Limits: Ripper (1999)
Ripper: By far the best Outer Limits episode
Having watched all episodes of all seven seasons. I feel "Ripper" (Jack the) Season 5 Episode 11 is actually good enough to be made as a free standing movie. With little or no changes to the story or the actors. I attempt to give no spoilers here, enough to say. The viewer is kept fully entertained sat on edge of seat throughout, watching every scene develop as each new subject/victim predicament is played out. Excitement builds as the tension builds. Few other episodes gain such momentum of story line, or deliver such diversity of alternative explanation of a well known, already overly documented fictional character. Watch Ripper yourself. Even if you're not a fan of Outer Limits. I guarantee that you will enjoy it.
Stardust (2006)
Watch Stardust 2006
With the greatest of respect. I have just watched this short TV series as a stand alone movie. I cried most of the way through it. Amazed that nobody has made a review previously. I read many bad reviews in the press and media years ago, but never had opportunity to watch the film before today. The movie in my opinion is excellent and worthy of better reviews. Certainly not an easy subject to cover or show respect to such a horrible memory. Please try to get hold of a copy and watch it. Education and warning for people of all ages living in all countries. My heart went out to those families who will never forget. I wont say any more other than: This movie moved me and I feel it will move you also. I sincerely hope this is televised either as series or one part in the near future. Thank you for reading. God bless to those who suffered and continue to suffer.
Seed (2006)
reviewers PLEASE calm down.
44 reviews (today) ranking 2.4 (and falling) Friends, Horror Movie means: The Movie is Horrifying and is intended to Horrify You! Today (2000-2009) for a movie to "make-it" in Any genre, it must be increasingly, completely and utterly Over the Top. Therefore, if you watch a Horror movie filmed this decade, you must Expect to see Horror! Every Living thing Dies. Animals die, We die. The film makers have searched achieve footage to find black and white imagery of cruelty and torture. Probably originally News Broadcasts. They included this footage to generate Horror in the viewers mind. When you later see a baby suffer and die and decompose (fast speed) with maggots doing what maggots do. Was that Real? No of course not. Was the young woman who died likewise actually killed and filmed? No of course not. Effects, computer enhanced graphic animation. We saw more realistic full colour, close-up Body Mutilation effects in the 1981 movie: The Thing. Nobody complained about the effect, because we knew what we see cannot be Real. So, my advice to viewers is: If you choose to watch a Horror movie made this decade and a few 80's & 90's too, be prepared to be Horrified, Expect to see Extreme Blood, Gore, Suffering, Brutalisation and Sickening sights and sounds. If the Horror Action becomes too much to bare? Simply fast forward (if your alone), or look away (if in a group). As we did when we were Kids at the Late Night Cinima. We knew then, that nothing can harm us, it's not real. The same now, nothing you see in a movie is actually real. No Animals suffered during the making of Seed. No people were Injured. Seed is what we call Fiction, Make Believe. Please Employ some Logic and Calm Down. I give Seed 5 because it has a good storyline and reasonable acting. The first 5 minutes was a cheap move to reduce costs. To reproduce the same 5 minute action artificially and to the same level of realism, costs thousands of dollars. And what would the result be? People would be convinced it's real and complain about the cruelty! Again! May I share a few thoughts? It is possible that those who enjoyed the classic 80's, 90's, horror movies may not enjoy todays horror movies. Likewise, I enjoyed the 80's 90's comedy films, but I sure don't enjoy the vulgar, shocking, "toilet-humour" they call comedy today. I refuse to watch it, I don't find it funny. So, maybe some of you should reconsider your views on Horror? Perhaps you should not watch today's Horror movies? Increasing in realism and horror as time passes, that's guaranteed.
Mis (1981)
This is the Funniest Polski movie I ever watched.
I have visited Poland and have experienced the atmosphere of Polski culture and humour and I have many friends in Poland and in UK. I struggled to learn very limited polsku vocabulary, barely enough to survive alone in Poland. Fortunatelly, millions of Polaky have been learning English during the past decade. Anyway about "Teddy Bear" (english name), Polsku font is required to type "MÍS" correctly. The movie is funny, very, very, funny, graphically hilarious, all the actors are comic. I laughed my head off all the way through and watched it twice to catch the bits I missed because my eyes were watering. Early on the motorcar that the is designed and manufactured in Poland, I think it's called: "Trápánt" (please excuse if that name is incorrect). Literally explodes to pieces from the sudden gust of exhaled breath when a man sneezes within it. Tak, visually funny and meaningful. I will tell you, the Pols look upon owning 1 of these cars as the last resort to being vehicular mobile. You see them everywhere but nobody will admit to owning one! I wont spoil your fun by explaining any further. Just watch Mís and you'll enjoy it. Don't worry about the language, it's not a barrier, funny is funny, in any language. You will imagine the conversations taking place. Great Movie Top marks.
À l'intérieur (2007)
Shocking!
I am English and I only understand basic French language. However, I didn't require the subtitles to follow the script in this movie. This movie "Inside" is unique, in being the first I have watched dealing with this particular (delicate) subject. I have watched hundreds of horror, terror, shocker, blood and gore movies from 1980's to 2009. Mostly movies of this genre are fictitious, not based on anything possible, plausible or probable. Inside, however from beginning to end is disturbingly realistic, perfectly possible and plausible. Although unlikely to actually happen. I sincerely hope it's not probable. I have one word to describe Inside:- SHOCKING!
Bones: The End in the Beginning (2009)
I have enjoyed every episode except this one.
I hate a story or movie that is based on a dream or drug induced imaginings. This whole episode made no sense what-so-ever. I felt I wasted 45 minutes of my life trying to understand what is going on. Nothing was going on is the simple truth. No, please don't repeat this trash. I made the same comment about an episode of Terminator that was based on a drug induced dream. When we were kids at school the English teacher told us, never end a story with: "and then I woke up!" Fiction is good, but fiction of fiction is no good at all. I agree it would have been a great idea to enable Bones and Boothe to "get together". But let's make it a real event, not a stupid 4 day "wet" dream!
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Some Must Watch While Some Must Sleep (2009)
I have enjoyed both seasons.. . But.
I have enjoyed all episodes of season 1 and every episode of season 2 up to this episode. I do not like a story, or a plot that has no live action. No character development, no robotic action. This episode is based totally on Sarah's dreams and drug induced imaginings. I waited to watch the 3 episodes which followed before I commented on this. I feared the script writer had run out of ideas. Fortunatelly, I can tell you this is an isolated case and I hope we don't see more like it. I welcome second opinion, so do watch it, maybe I missed something, when I fell asleep from shear boredom. I hope we get Season 3, although having just spent $200 million on Salvation. Perhaps I shouldn't ask for more.
