Acceptable, but typical...
24 May 2003
ANGER MANAGEMENT is one of those unfunny, light laughs Adam Sandler movies with a huge supporting star. Its funny for a bit, dull for others, stupid in lots, but over all its not bad and not good. Its a movie only to be seen if you're mad or just need a simple laugh.

My Take: 5/10 My MPAA Rating: R for sexual content, crude humor, and language.

Basic (2003)
Its a cool movie...!
24 May 2003
BASIC is a cool movie and I don't care what people think. It has a good twist, good gore, good story, and good plot. If you think this movie sucked because you couldn't understand the ending...THEN NEVER MIND! Don't see it if you believe critics. See it if you believe in twists and turns in a movie.

My Take: 7/10 My MPAA rating: R for strong language and violence, and for a scene of graphic gore.

Horribly disappointed. SPOILERS
13 May 2003
Warning: Spoilers
Colin Farrell is cool but his recent movies suck a lot. They make no sense in the ending and I don't like this. *SPOILERS** YOU NEVER FIND WHY THE GUY WANTED COLIN FARRELL TO SUFFER AND YOU NEVER KNOW HOW HE KNOWS SO MUCH ABOUT HIM...Stupid!

My Take: 5/10 My MPAA Rating: R for strong language and terrorist themes including some violence.

Deliverance (1972)
Repulsive, Sickening, Horrifying, Disturbing, Gross->Just Plain Awful!
3 April 2003
If you have ever seen a movie where it disturbs you beyond belief, then you have seen Deliverance. Deliverance is one of those movies that seems like it would have lots of action but in fact it has one very repulsive scene with male rape and torture. There is also an impalement part in that scene that is good but at the same time horrifying. All in all, I hate this movie with a passion!

My Take: 3/10 My MPAA Rating: R for strong disturbing violent content including a perverse rape scene, and for language.

Very well done.
2 April 2003
For a movie that basically is a knock off of DRACULA, its really good. The plot is simple: Vampire bites young man, young man turns into vampire, young man hates it but gives in and bites young girl's neck. Then they live on through out the centuries. I love how the vampires bite their victims necks and how they can leap many feet into the the air. Classic.

My Take: 9/10 My MPAA rating: R for strong vampire violence and gore and nudity.

Absolutly awful.
31 March 2003
This has got to be one of the worst remakes of a horror movie ever made. Not only is this one not the least bit good, it has an extremely long running time and boring plot. I was shocked on how this failed to entertain. Never see this.

My Take: 3/10 My MPAA Rating: PG-13 for some terror violence/gore, language, and brief sexuality

Stupid
31 March 2003
The first time I saw this, I liked it enough to buy the previously viewed DVD at Blockbuster for a low price. I hated it the second time. The cleches, the predictable action sequences, the horrible acting. 2001 was a really bad summer popcorn movie time. Worst Movies of That Summer Include: Tomb Raider Cats and Dogs The Fast and the Furious Planet of the Apes Rat Race. This makes #1 of the worst of the summer. :-(

My Take: 3/10 My MPAA rating: PG-13 for constant sci-fi violence/terror.

Dracula (1931)
I love this movie...
31 March 2003
I love vampire movies because of how involved you get. Dracula is a suductive, spooky, and devilish little thriller. It's dry at some scenes but good at others. If you don't like the scenes when Dracula tries to bite Mena's throat, then your not a vampire fan. The movie is bloodless but, thats ok because Dracula needs to saver every drop of blood. I love his words too: "I vant to suck your blood," "Come to me," "You have strong veins," "I am Dracula." Good stuff.

My Take: 10/10 My MPAA Rating: PG for some vampire scariness.

Stunning->I'm glad it won best picture!
27 March 2003
From the time I started the movie, I knew I was in for a treat. The imagination, the superior acting, the darkly hillarious plot. Kevin Spacey is great, Annette Benning is awesome, Wes Bentley is triumphant, Thora Birch is stunning. The four main people in this amazing picture make it worth while. You have to see it!

My Take: 10/10! My MPAA rating: R for mature thematic elements, sexuality/nudity, substance abuse, language, and brief violence.

C'mon guys, its not that bad.
22 March 2003
Critics have said this movie is *terrible* but its not that bad. Seriously, if you can surpass the unbelievable plot, you'll have a good time. It certainly doesn't diserve to be that far down on the bottom list. Well, have your opinion. My Take: 6/10 My MPAA rating: R for horrific and revolting scenes of violent torture, some nudity and language.

Ringu (1998)
Awful.
22 March 2003
What is so good about this movie that everyone is talking about. There are so many flaws with it.

1) The tape isn't scary and it makes NO sense.

2) The jump scenes are not good and aren't scary.

3) The deaths are NOT as scary as THE RING.

4) There's too much talking.

My Take: 3/10 My MPAA rating: PG for some eerie moments.

Fight Club (1999)
At first I didn't care for it, NOW I LOVE IT!
16 March 2003
When I first saw this movie, I thought it was boring and dumb. Now that I finally saw the whole thing, its awesome. Its not boring nor is it dumb, its exciting, fast, and thrilling. It's a gory movie and extremely violent but definatly recommend it. You really have to see it. My MPAA rating: R for strong, brutal violence, language, sexuality, and drug content.

Boring vampire movie.
14 March 2003
I never thought I'd say this but I was bored during a vampire movie. I love them, they're scary and funny sometimes. But QUEEN OF THE DAMNED is just long and boring. Aallyah was in it for about 15 minutes...waste! The kill factor was low, I thought Lestat like to kill lots of people a night. The movie also took a bad tole on reality. Who knew after rising from a hundred year rest in a cascate, you could instantly become a rockstar? If I was a vampire I would have a very dry throat and couldn't even talk. DAMNED is just another excuse for seeing people get their necks bitten, their blood sucked, and then turned into vampires--and its all too boring. Don't waste your money. My Take: 4/10 My MPAA rating: PG-13 for some vampire violence and brief sexuality.

Spider-Man (2002)
Spider-Man's cool!
14 March 2003
Spider-Man is your great superhero movie that is good the first time and gets old the second. You probably cannot watch this multiple times. It gets old... Although I LOVED IT the the first, I didn't the second. My Take: 9/10 My MPAA rating: PG-13 for action violence, sensuality, and brief language.

Idle Hands (1999)
Horribly generic.
14 March 2003
What makes IDLE HANDS so bad its good is a question I have been wanting to ask for so long. Its because the movie has stupid witt. Its not funny, clever, or even remotly original. The gore is what I liked about it but it got stale. This is not a movie that most will enjoy but it won't really make you sick. My Take: 5/10 My MPAA rating: R for strong comic violence and gore, perverse sexuality/nudity, non-stop drug use and for language.

Halloween (1978)

Creepy atomasphere takes too long to get into.
14 March 2003
This has got to be a very terrifying movie. But it takes **WAY** too long to get into the chase. All the events leading up to a 5 second murder is just a waste. The movie itself is very scary. If you can't find the 70s era, mysterious mad-manic in a small down poping up here and there, and Halloween night all falling into one, you must not scare easily. What makes this movie scary is the fact that Michael just doesn't cut his victim's throat instantly, he stalks them...I was complaining about that earlier right? Oh well its still a good movie. My Take: 7/10 My MPAA rating: R for terror violence and sexuality.

Scream 3 (2000)
Not good, not original, but I can sit through it.
13 March 2003
Does anyone remember the "small-town" feel of the original. How the murders seemed so close to home and the town was like any other. Remember how SCREAM 2 was SO different that SCREAM? Well, SCREAM 3 is not a good sequel. It takes place in Hollywood, and that just wrecks any potential. SCREAM had this certain feel of small town murders taking place in a community of civilians. SCREAM 2 took place at a college which was sort of a bad thing. SCREAM 3 takes place in a city, with thousands of people. This lousy, bloodless sequel puts the others to shame. Although this movie is bad, it has its good one-liners, cool scares, and solid acting. I find it very weird and repeatitive that the killer(s) always go after Neve Campbelle. Either forget about her and the rest of the ever-surviving cast, or kill them off with in the same room. DIMENSION FILMS better not make a SCREAM 4! My Take: 5.5/10 My MPAA rating: R for violence and language.

Not as good as the first but a hell of a good time.
12 March 2003
For those who are worried about the loss of "feel" from the original...don't worry, ITS STILL HERE. I was suprised that it was still kept because sequels do go overboard. This raunchy, sexual, crude, funny piece of comedy is still full of heart and humor and ready for a third slice of pie in August of 2003! Bring it! My Take: 7/10

My MPAA rating: R for strong/consistant sexual content, crude humor, and for language.

Dracula 2000 (2000)
A lot better than I had thought.
12 March 2003
I rented this movie against my wishes but I really wanted to see it. I watched it the first time and didn't like it, then I decided to to watch it a second time to pay more attention and I really liked it. It isn't your classic vampire tale, more of a slasher vampire tale to be exact. Well, its DIMENSION FILMS and their movies are great and cool. Cool! My Take: 8/10

My MPAA rating: R for vampire violence and gore, language, and some sexuality.

Heavily suductive...
12 March 2003
No one can be as suductive and ravishing as Sarah Michelle Gellar in CRUEL INTENTIONS. She portrays the role of the "innocent bitch" and does the role quite fine. Ryan Phillipe steals the show away with his brilliant acting and remarkable motions. Reese Witherspoon deserves extra credit for her capability for contributing to the movie because she lit up the screen with her talented techniques. Selma Blair does her job well when acts as the dorky and outsider misfit who becomes sexually active. The acting, script, direction, and work done on CRUEL INTENTIONS is extremely well done and should be credited a lot more. I strongly suggest most people look at this movie a different way and see the good side of it and get its benifits. Enjoy! My Take: 10/10! My MPAA rating: R for some strong sexual/erotic themes, language, brief drug use, and thematic elements all involving teens.

Wow!
16 February 2003
Does this movie ring a bell? Hello, its American Psycho's brother. And its his story. THE RULES OF ATTRACTION is one of a kind. Not like the other drug/sex/alcohol/violence movies, this one can make a picture and devolop without flaws. If you can get past the whole "been there, done that" premise, see it!

My Take: 8/10 My MPAA rating: NC-17 for pervasive sexuality, drug content, strong language and some violence.

The Recruit (2003)
I'm not sure whether to like it, or not.
16 February 2003
THE RECRUIT is one of those movies you enjoy but you don't really. I've seen this all before, in other movies and TV shows. Its not that the movie was bad, it was average. I wouldn't recommend it.

My Take: 6/10 My MPAA rating: PG-13 for violence, language, and some sexuality.

Gory good fun

Warning: Spoilers
GHOST SHIP has one of those prologues I heard about and dreamed about.

*MINOR SPOILERS* Where the people are on a cruise ship and its all peaceful until they are all split in half by a wire. *END OF SPOILERS*

It doesn't really have much of a plot, but it you love gore, you'll be fairly entertained.

My Take: 7/10 My MPAA rating: R for violence/gore, language, and brief sexuality.

They (2002)
Darkness Falls over again
16 February 2003
For those who have seen DARKNESS FALLS, this is nothing new. It isn't scary, nor is it entertaining. THEY is just another excuse for a low budget limited horror flick with Wes Craven's name on it. THEY comes in very slow and meaningless. The acting is awful, the premise is stupid, and the movie is very slow. Don't see it.

My Take: 3/10 My MPAA rating: PG-13 for horror and terror.

Amazing!
15 February 2003
Wow! I was so impressed with this movie! I came out of the theatre thinking...well a 7-9 out of 10. I have to see this movie again and again. The deaths were so well done as well, and the car pile-up, wow. This movie was awesome! Go see it.

My Take: 10/10 #2 on my top 100 List My MPAA Rating: R for non-stop horrific gruesome violence, language, drug use, and brief nudity.
