The Bastard Son (2022)

The Bastard Son delivers it's message clearly...

"The Bastard Son," the protagonist portrayed by new up and coming rising actor Nelson Vazquez was carried out beautifully. I attended the WORLD PREMIERE at, "The Strand Theatre," in Seymour, CT. The energy during the premiere matched the energy of the film. It was ROWDY and ALIVE. The audience went crazy I mean absolutely crazy to see the emotions and acting carried out by Nelson (it's a good thing) -- it was great to see him carry the weight of the movie showing off his varying acting skills. During attendance at the premiere you felt the love and energy and every turning moment the knife, came out -- you could sense the crowd feel the pain and revenge while carrying out the promise of the family. I enjoyed watching the film. There were a few minor things in the film that could have been better but all in all, it was a terrific film and told the story well. I also enjoyed the subtle comedy that was introduced into the film, just enough not to be over-bearing to take away the films purpose / genre. Check the film out on Amazon prime / tubi for those who missed out seeing it in Person.

I really enjoyed the showmanship of, "The Bastard Son," character portrayed by new actor Nelson Vazquez. He carried stage presence and emotions into this character which showcased his desire to get even in the film. His work in this film will be remembered. I enjoyed watching this film and saw it live in person --- at the Strand Theatre in Seymour, CT. During the world premiere the audience went crazy as, "The Bastard Son," got even and person after person laid down by his blade. They went crazy meaning they were applauding him for carrying out revenge.

There was a few small things I did not like in the film, however as a whole this movie had a great plot and was not strung out like many movies with the 2 hour run time. Kudos to the cast and crew. I look forward to see more films by Nelson and many of the talented actors in this production.

Great Movie...Don't Listen to everyone or Critics...Best Comedy in 2007 Sure this movie contains stereotypes and is crude and offensive. What Adam Sandler movie is not? For all who say it was a bad movie for him, what are you kidding me? It was so funny.

The movie just got funnier and funnier. Got it on HD-DVD and I think it was funny and Rob Schneider as the Asian Minister was fantastic.

Whether you rent or buy I watched it three times so far. Not to mention Jessica Biel is eye candy for all.

I think the all-start cast helped as well.

You may find some lines offensive to women, but don't think to hard with this one. Watch it for what it is.

Redline (2007)

So you want to see redline, huh.. What type of viewer are you? If you liked The Fast and The Furious or 2 Fast 2 Furious with the cool cars and well rounded plot, this is not for you.

This movie shows tons of beautiful exotics (expensive ones). The only problem with the movie after viewing it, I said to myself what was it about? You only get the pleasure of seeing fast rides being rode hard and fast. The weak plot goes 100% for this movie.

I most say I was hurt to see the car damage with the corvette and Shelby cobra. However if you like beautiful cars and an rush of excitement go see this movie right away.

Despite the shuffled plot and unusual filming orientation I enjoy this movie a lot. I would recommend it to viewers if the can look past the plot and enjoy seeing fast cars and a rush.

I thought it was amazing the War hero would get into fights almost everywhere like he was some kind of Jackie Chan. He would even take on bigger pumped up men and toss them like flies.

I did enjoy seeing the Ferrari Enzo, the Mercedes SLR, and the Yellow Koenigsegg CCR at the end. All nice rides everything from Ferrari's, Mercedes, Lambo's, Ford GT's, Ford Shelby Cobra's, Corvette's, Old school cobra, and so on.

I still give it 7 out of 10 for the rides.

A History of Violence (2005)

Great from beginning to END

First of all, David Cronenberg, has his fingerprints all over this movie. The whole movie is brilliant. The character role/ selection player by the actors were perfect. Of course their is plenty of gore/ and sex acts and some scenes people cannot endure.

I loved Existenz and Video drome. This is a classic example of great film direction, and like other great director's LYNCH, the sex scenes are great. This movie has some scenes that may have the average user, look the other way. Some scenes that may be difficult to watch for some, would be one involving shooting a little girl, and the graphic violence shots of killing people.

Why is America so scared of these films, I will say it and say it again, international films are so much better for that reason. They can tolerate more violence, and show more than US films.

I was very impressed with this film, I would definitely buy it.

Dreamcatcher (2003)

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED, VERY BAD TIL THE END

I will agree probably with every one that posted comments for DreamCatcher, it sucked. Now don't get confused I have seen some posts that said how steven king did i good job with this movie. Well steven king did not make this movie, this movie was based on his book.

The movie itself, was bad, the creature/alien was so silly I just laughed over and over. The movie did not go anywhere and was very badly written and gives a bad name to steven kings book. If any 1 should have made a movie, steven king should have done it for this movie.

The only part i do enjoy, was the cinematography, the views in which the snow is coming down, that is it. For those 2 minutes of pleasure in film making did not please me for the 134 min run time.

Xchange (2001)

Good Sci-Fi Idea, Good Movie, But Lacking in some points

Overall, i did enjoy this movie. It has a little bit of sci-fi, action, sexuality (TASTEFUL IMAGES THAT DAVID LYNCH WOULD BE PROUD OF), and believable plot. The movie basically comes like this: A copr Exe, officer with high clearance level, needs to go to Cal. but is in NY, so he had to XCHANGE his body with someone else in Cal. to make it the fastest travel possible. He was suppose to have his body back later that day but was told the next day. The movie goes on, and calls the XCHANGE process FLOATING, in which at a party many people at a club, talk about having sex with floaters being very erotic and so on. He then meet this girl GLORY, and had sex with her. While this is happening, a terrorist some how managed to get a hold of his old body, and basically it is a race to get his old body back.

Good movie but lacking in some sense.

True Romance (1993)

BEST ACTION MOVIE TO DATE

This movie was great, I just saw it in 2003, and wish i saw it back in 1993. The most memorable scene i still chuckle at every time i think of this title was the Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken scene in the mobile home. This was like the best part of the movie, watch it and enjoy. You also cannot forget the way alabama's character got beat up, that was intense. Not to mention the ending gun shoot out, was great. An all star cast: Brad Pitt, Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken, Christian Slater, Val Kilmer and much more.

Snatch (2000)

Its like Magnolia, but more flashy and fun, a roller-coaster from start to end!

Snatch. Wow what can I say, I cannot stop watching this one, It is a new kind of movie, with a funny plot, with characters, that are all woven together as seen in magnolia, but this is no magnolia. This movie is great, from chopping arms off, feeding flesh to pigs, illegal boxing matchs, the pikeys, and the funny one liners, the music also plays a good role. I am suprised for a movie in Britain, they didnt play any prodigy. This is the kind of movie you will laugh and at the end you may laugh and really feel like you didnt know what you laughed about so you have to keep on watching it. This movie i can watch 100 times. If you liked Lock stock and two smoking barrels, this movies is like that same director GUY RITCHIE. I also recommend- The usual suspects, way of the gun, casino, donnie brasco. This movie is the coolest movie I ever saw, go see it. *** out of ****. ~MICJOE

In Dreams (1999)

One of a kind, masterpiece!

For what In dreams, is, i feel that Neil Jordan did an exceptional job with the imagery and dream sequences. It is rare to see such an exceptional work despite the silly plot. This movie is much more than * 1/2 star by Ebert and Roper. This movie shows you a lot of good visuals as mentioned before which made me forget that the plot in this movie was not very good, however I would recommend this film, as I bought it on DVD yesterday.

Being John Malkovich (1999)

What a movie, best orginial screenplay, awesome job. Another cool original screenplay movie is Donnie Darko.

What I still can't understand is where I come from this movie is under a "COMEDY", i feel it is a drama.

Nice movie, a must see.

Léon: The Professional (1994)

Highly over-rated film, is just that, it fails to go anywhere!

The plot seemed to be put together in 10 minutes, this movie had potential but did not hold.

The director was unclear of where we was going with this film.

Leon, what can I say for this highly recommended film. It was a very overrated film, this film was silly and the plot was not convincing.

For what Leon is, it can be entertaining only the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes.

All comments here, give this movie a positive review, I the minority feel this movie was just a waste of time.

The whole chain of events was just silly, the movie, didnt go anywhere, if you are blind and deaf this movie maybe for you, otherwise

stay away from this one.

If you enjoy Jean Reno, then go see Ronin, he was much better in that movie.

Session 9, a terror/suspense movie, seemed to be a comedy, there was no terror!

Session 9- 95 Minutes.

I had high hopes for this one, reviewing messages in this board, with people saying it was really creepy but it was very slow.

When I saw it I thought I was watching a comedy not a horror or terror suspense movie. How did it get a rating of R, it should have been PG-13. There was no gore, just references about rape, and one scene about a metal object in his eye.

This movie was very over-rated. The first 70 or 75 minutes was crap, the last 15 or 20 was better, but still wasnt a crowd please for me :(

This movie was far from being creepy, it was just plain funny, thats it.

I dont like the blair witch but i would rather watch it.

Magnolia (1999)

A well crafted movie!

Magnolia. Magnolia. Magnolia. What a great movie. IT starts out as you see nine different people with different stories. You will later realize it is just one big story, as all these people are weaved together to form one great story, 188 minutes long.

You will see a movie about choices, decisions, love, death, and most of all forgiveness.

The part of the movie that I really didnt understand was the falling frogs, and the references about rain.

I am hoping someone here can elborate on this.

GO see this movie, it falls right after my all time favorite movie, "MEMENTO", which is also a must see.

Donnie Darko (2001)

Great concept with nice work of images!

Wow this movie rocked on so many different levels. After watching other good movies with great visuals such as Existenz, and Videodrome, this movie was right in my alley.

For some they story may be some what confusing just to warn you. Excellent work 10 out of 10.

And remember watch out for the monsterous bunny.

More than what people think. Arnold Shines!

To me this movie was great. As it seems most people in this board, give this movie a bad comment, it seems to me, that they have inferior brains to understand this superior movie.

Arnold was great in this movie. This one was one of his better movies, i enjoyed this movie much better than the 6th day. The movie also had a great twist at the end which really lifted the movie back into another perspective.

If you like Arnold's work go out and rent or buy the DVD, you would be disappointed, if you are then you shouldnt watch any type of movies.

Heck Ebert and Roper, gave this, "TWO THUMB UP", also three stars.

This movie rocks. See it and experience yet another Arnold Classic!

eXistenZ (1999)

YOU DONT NEED A GOOD LIFE, to PLAY EXISTENZ, in its world, anyone can have a better life it will change you!

Let me just start off by saying, "WOW". This movie rocked on so many different levels.

Kudos to the Director, I havent followed any of his work, but GOD BLESS HIM.

I only wish I could have saw it at the theaters, but in my case, and many others, I think we were distracted by the, "MATRIX", which had a bigger budget and more advertisement money to lure us to see it.

I recently bought this movie on DVD, after seeing it on VHS, a year ago.

Seeing it for the second time, made me appreciate more of how well structured and thought out this movie really was.

If you watch it the second time you will also see there are hidden aspects you can only notice after watching it again, such as one major one, you will pick up by watching it the first time later on in the movie was by in the game, you can only talk to someone by speaking their name.

By watching it the second time, you will notice in the beginning they were in the game, Like when the called out, "GAS".

This works well in this move. The gore, played an important role, and lifted the movie upwords.

Expect a lot more violence and gore, than the MATRIX. Such as shooting the chinese waiter, with a bone teeth gun, operating on frogs, lizards, and such.

The main theme is Reality vs Non-Reality or Virtual Reality.

Many people hear this movie is like, "THE MATRIX". Don't be confused it is like, "THE MATRIX", along the lines of Reality. What is real and what is not.

There is not cool special effect like "the matrix", you will not see this hear.

You will see in my opinion, a better movie, a clear simple, and very different movie, that does make, "THE MATRIX", look like child's play.

The plot in this movie was so clear, unlike the extensiveness in , "THE MATRIX". Don't get me wrong, I like ,"THE MATRIX".

If you are into the REALITY vs NON-REALITY watch this movie, and thank me later.

Jude Law really did an excellent job hear in this movie. The ending was great, that appealed to me the best. I wouldnt mind a sequel however, the movie was so well structured a sequel wont be necessary,

Behind Enemy Lines (2001)

Why must a lot of users bash this film. This film shows what USA, is about, we care about fellow USA troops.

This movie has it all with excellent photography, great action, but does lack some script.

I would recommend this film, and I am going to buy it on Tuesday April 23 on DVD.

I would suggest anyone who wants great action, with great acting, and anyone who would like to see USA kick butt, to buy this DVD>

***NOTE*** This film came out around the same day SPY GAME came to theaters, i thought SPY GAME was the worser film out of the two.

I dont know why a lot of people would rather see SPY GAME, then BEHIND ENEMY LINES.

Kuffs (1992)

Pure entertainment...lots of one liners, a must see!

Why, Why, and why...I dont understand why so many people bash this film. This film is great and will be always great in my mind and many will agree with me. I like how they bring slaters character, in focus with the camera, you didnt see that too much back then, you see it now a days like on, Malcom in the middle on FOX as an example. This movie is one of my favorites, I am very suprised as why many people didnt care for you it but I cam to a conclusion that they probably had their eyes closed and were deaf. This movie has the most funny one liners, and humor I have ever seen. Like when slater buys the turkey for his brother and then the truck ran it over. Another great part was when he was in the car with Ted (another cop), and he started swearing, and then slater said, "you have an unlimited vocabulary Ted", and then Ted says the F- word back to him. Watch this movie and then thank me later. ***/ out of/ ****. A must see

Flight of the Navigator (1986)

GREAT PLOT...WITH LOTS OF HUMOR, GREAT FOR KIDS AND ADULTS ALIKE!

This movie was great....it is too bad disney has discontinued this title. I am very suprised however to see that it didnt do so good in the box office, especially if all of us that have watched this as kids, and continue to watch this today. Flight of the Navigator is clearly a great movie. There was a couple of things they could have cleared up a little better, i guess u can call them goofs, but i caught them just to say a few: When David wakes up 8 years later and climbs out of the ravine and back to the house. As you can clearly notice at the front door that there are now two giant small trees or plants that were not their in 1978. That was a bad call cause if i was david, i would know what my house looks like. Another continuity was when david got dropped back off to 1978 and he climbed out of the ravine, and then the shot where he walked over the train tracks, that was clearly the same scene you saw when he first came out of the ravine in 1986, now in 1978 when we climbs back out it is the same exact shot. Well i guess most kids wont know that it, but i thought i mention it. Bottomline I would give it 3.5 stars out of 4..
