Thumbs up for John Hannah
12 May 2004
The movie was funny with many unexpected turns, the characters were hilariously overdone, almost comic book style. The fabulous John Hannah did a great job portraying the con man that got conned, but did he? This underrated Scottish actor is very talented and it is good to

see him in more prominent roles. Fred Ward was great in the role as picture book American "baddie". Famke Janssen was a bit bland but is always nice to look at. The movie was very entertaining, I watched it from beginning to end which is unusual for me. Thumbs up!I definitely recommend it to people with a sense of humor.

Peter Pan (2003)

Awesome!
10 January 2004
I just saw this movie today with my 4-year old son and we both loved it. Peter Pan has always been one of my favorite stories and I find this version is an excellent interpretation. Sure, it's a little scary with the huge crocodile and Jason Isaacs' marvelous captain Hook but not more so than other so called children's movies. Jeremy Sumpter did a wonderful job, finally a spunky Peter Pan, that shows both sides of his personality. Rachel Hurd-Wood, a lovely Wendy. Feisty but victorianly feminine. Very nice dialogue, not many platitudes which is refreshing in a time where movies consist of special effects alone and dialogue usually falls completely by the wayside. 10 out of 10 for Peter Pan and I'll definitely buy the DVD.

Great Valentine's Day Movie
3 April 2002
Sweet, hysterically funny. Beautiful play of colors and music, awakens the Italian in all of us. Feels like a classic movie, such as "Roman Holiday". For all those who, in innocence, still believe in the perfect love. A great Valentine's Day movie

It'll make you laugh, it'll make you cry.

This is my all time favorite movie. One goes through all the motions, from laughing to crying, the scenery and harmony of the intermingling storylines are enchanting. Mary Stuart Masterson and Marie-Louise Parker are absolutely wonderful together and Kathy Bates is excellent as usual.
