True Grit (2010)
10/10
10/10 from a guy that does not like western movies
5 October 2011
To be honest I was never a big fan of western movies... Somehow I made myself to watch True Grit - had big doubts about it, but after all it was Coen brothers movie and it got only positive reviews all over internet. When the movie had finished I was completely stunned by how the story got me into it, how interesting and absorbing it was from the very first minutes!!! The characters were so genuine and extraordinary in the same time. I guess each of them could have their own individual movie, but here we had 3 of them crossing their paths of faith. Acting was just PERFECT - honestly I think this is Bridges best role, not to mention fantastic Damon and brilliant Steinfeld! In addition to that scenography and photography was excellent. Everything gave the viewer almost 2 hours of an amazing story, told in the best possible manner. Thank you brothers Coen for this masterpiece!

Mix of Armageddon movie and child serial killer story - wtf?
1 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I read the plot and it made me watch this movie. World learning that it's going to end in 72h? Sounds like a good Armageddon movie - see people's reaction, masses going panic, overall decay and destruction. Unfortunately - this movie is nothing about it. It's a story about child serial killer who wants to finish what he has started before imprisoned mixed up with the end of the world.

Why would someone mix these two events - I really don't understand??? Maybe the idea in the beginning was to make an Armageddon movie, but then the budget did not allow the creators of the movie to realize all the ideas, so they came up with the child serial killer idea.

I'm really disappointed with this movie and I would not recommend anyone to watch it. The two ideas that fuel the script could be very good if separated, but watching them in one movie is really confusing.

New director - Big mistake
15 November 2008
I was sooo disappointed after watching third part of Blade's history. It has nothing nothing out of it's previous part - no atmosphere, no tension, no quality! Guillermo del Toro made a good piece of cinema directing Blade 2 but unfortunately Blade's 3 director wasn't capable to follow such a high level. Acting, story, dialogues, music, special effects - everything was like a horror and I'm not talking about movie genre here. What I didn't like most of all was Ryan Reynolds acting. It was weak, fake, without life (even tough he wasn't a vampire;)). Besides the person he was playing was an idiot indeed, asking pointless questions and spoiling movie's impression. For everybody who saw second part of Blade's adventure and are about to see it's third part - DON'T DO IT. It will spoil your good impression about Blade's movies.
