I will never watch porn again
6 March 2022
I know this kind of trauma happens to all the people in this industry. Watching this I felt so dirty, guilty and sad, Im very glad I watched this it kind of shook the sawdust from eyes and broke my heart. Even though there where receptive elements and the story could pitter out then kick back up again. I honestly think this film needs to be watched by consumers of pornography so we as consumers can take responsibility for what we are buying into.

Trilogy of terror for the next generation
6 March 2022
VHS is so much fun and gives the viewer lots of little short stories and a change of scenery etc. I love the silliness and fake scary gore and wish I wish this was a TV series in the way Black mirror is.

As a Christian...
6 March 2022
I really liked how this movie completely exposed one of the many ways that sociopaths can easily pervert the word of God and thus turn people off to learning. I know that happened to me, I saw nothing but twisted bible thumper committing evil acts in the name of the God so my parents and I never went to church or any of that stuff. The "Artist" guy was well cast and created a genuine freak that is sure to keep you thinking past the credits. The lead female was a very skilled actress who I think should be cast in more horror genre films. I still am wondering if her character was bewitched from the Artist or what was the reason she went along with these peoples remote cult. I like these low budget films that no one take the time to watch especially when they are good and this film was good for this genre.

Bowie as Tesla was a spark of genius casting
6 March 2022
Christopher Nolan stepped back from this and allowed the story to dictate every aspect down to the lighting and editing. I love the spiritual elements added to this story of jealousy and revenge. David Bowie played Nikola Tesla so well that I cant stop thinking of tesla with Bowies face since I have seen this ( a month ago).

I took "The Serbian Film" challange
30 November 2021
I failed miserble. I think it was the fact that a story line was created just as a red herring to glorify gore to make the goriest film of all time. My review doesnt count because i lost the stomach for it as well as interest very quickly and shut that gore for gores sake off very quickly.

Jerzy Kosinski must have loved Peter Sellers
30 November 2021
I have read that Peter Sellers said this was his most rewarding characters to have played. The funniest and and still timely true movies of our time. Jezy Kosinski , famous for his horrific and beautifully written "The Painted Bird" went 180 on this narrative of a idiot savant who ends up advising those who run the country. Such commentary of the times we have always lived in.

For the soundtrack alone-Angelo Badalamenti
30 November 2021
I was lucky enough to see this in a large theater. So moved, I watched it many times in that theater. "La cité des enfants perdus" has the most amazingly melancholy soundtrack that leaves me in tears upon hearing . I have bought the soundtrack as a gift for many. Well received. Angelo Badalamenti outdid himself. The clothing by Jean Paul Gauiltier is a dream to watch it add to each character. Ron Perlmans greatest role of all time. Visually stunning a must own film.

Something isnt right with this film
30 November 2021
I will have to read the reviews, for i trust that a fellow non paid reviewer will be able to explain why I just don't trust this narrative. There where some deeply pedophilic suggestions here that where just disturbing and extremely unhealthy. I find it a curiosity as to why all the flowery reviews. Yes its beautifully filmed, but the direction and story is wrong and I quit cant put my finger on it.

A desprate attemopt at being edgey
30 November 2021
I was looking forward to this. It never came to any theaters near me so I had to wait and wait until it became available online. I had my popcorn in hand and was all set to see an upgrade on Argento's original version of "Suspira".

The lighting and editing is intolerable, as if it where some sort of experiment to see how lame and desperate director Luca Guadagnino could get away with. Desperate is the way to describe this film. The mere four stars goes to Ms. Swanson for her attempt to work with this dribble.

Most important film of 2021
30 November 2021
The sheer fearlessness of the screenwriter gives me such hope that good filmaking has just come back into play. Easy to swallow violence meets a roller coaster of emotions.

Flawless

This is a thinking persons film with some of the most intense psychological intentness i have ever experienced while watching a film. Tilda's torment is placed into the belly of each viewer. At first i thought the acting was staid and cold until I realized that these people had a horrific coldness to them. Tilda Tilda Tilda.

No time to die???
30 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Seems like the James bond 007 INC. Had plenty of time for the death of the ever evolving James Bond character. Making room for a politically correct version of a female. As you can see in the comment section that by killing James Bond they have killed off decades of a franchise that inspired humanity and gave us solace in stories of good winning over evil.

Girl Next (2021)

Meticulously conceived
30 November 2021
I watched "Girl Next" awhile ago and I still remember it vividly. Underneath the lush lighting and well placed props is a realistic dankness that will leave one haunted and perturbed at this representation of a human condition. I look for films that have low rating and then check out the reviewers playlist. Its quite entertaining to read their reviews on the mainstream unimaginative dribble they rate highly. What I found appealing about "Girl Next" is the detailed alertness to current conversations. It could be that "Girl Next" has the potential to be a cult classic in the genre of psychological horror films.

Monique Rockman
30 November 2021
What a talent Rockman is. Beautiful even when in the worst of time. Very believable.

The story is trippy, which refreshing for it allows one to come up with their own theories.

The supernatural aspects seem plausible.

Visual satisfactory
30 November 2021
Horrible casting, even Sigorny Weaver knows how to play a grandmother with brown hair. Story was weak but the cinematography was very satisfactory. That's the reason I gave it 7 stars.
