Gilliam's best film
7 March 2003
Brazil is quite simply Terry Gilliam's best film. And from the great director that gave us brilliant films like "Time Bandits", "The Twelve Monkeys" and "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" this means that Brazil is awesome. A great cast with superb performances (especially Jonathan Pryce, Robert DeNiro, Ian Holm and Michael Palin) is matched with a powerful story and great art / set direction. The score by Michael Kamen also shines.

However, be careful not to watch the "Love conquers all" version of Brazil. It was edited roughly an hour from the original version. This version, while may be interesting to watch after seeing Gilliam's version, must be avoided.

Masterpiece
7 March 2003
Federico Fellini's 8 1/2 is revolutionary.

Marcello Mastroianni brilliantly plays the troubled film director Guido which gets mixed up in his own dreams and memories as he tries to find ideas for his next film, while getting constantly annoyed with his producers, crew, friends and his wife. This is told with stunning visuals and great narrative.

8 1/2 can be seen as Fellini's own autobiographical story and is definitely one of the best films I have ever seen.

Alice (2000 Video Game)
If Lewis Carroll had seen this...
16 December 2000
I really enjoyed Alice: a true innovative game design. The game design and level design are excellent and the graphics are perfect. This game is really enjoyable, the only major flaw is that there aren't many puzzles. Your job is to go straight and straight until you reach the next level. The conversations aren't monotonous and many voices along the game fits very well the characters. The game is rather dark and scary, and the intro movie is really thrilling. The Quake III: Arena engine runs very well with beautiful game stages. I really liked the game. Now, what would be if Lewis Carroll had seen Alice with a knife full of blood...

Worst than the expected
7 May 2000
Warning: Spoilers
*CONTAINS SPOILERS*

I have one word for this movie. Yes, "Mission to Mars" is TERRIBLE.

The plot is one of the worst that I have ever seen. All that stuff that the life on Earth comes from Mars creates a boring, tedious and terrible plot. Also, Brian DePalma tried to copy Stanley Kubrick's magic and he failed.

If you have seen this movie, compare it with 2001: A space odyssey. Even good actors like Sinise and Robbins, this movie enters from my Bottom-film list from all times.

Grade: 2/10 (The only reasonable thing from this movie are the special effects, from Industrial light and magic)
