Psychos in Love (1987)
The worst movie I have ever seen.
I've seen some bad movies like Avatar: The last air bender movie. That was a terrible movie and has almost nothing to do with the TV series but IMHO this is worse than that one. How can we forget the line, so you're a psychotic killer too? This made the Naked Gun and Hot Shot movies seem like a great script and acting and not a silly and yet very funny movies. I did not see anything funny about this movie. It was like when they made the movie The Beverly Hillbillies based on the TV series. The script and the ham-fisted acting was really bad. They were working way too hard to be funny that it was not funny at all but stupid. Instead of being funny they tried too hard to be funny and failed at it.
Pathaan (2023)
Like Bond but better looking
This movie has it all intriguing plot, amazing acting, plenty of great fight scenes, action, suspense, drama, love, awesome locations, and an actor fitting for such a role. Shah Rukh Khan can play any character in every genre you cast him in. This movie showcases his talent in the action adventure, reluctant, hero. This reminds me of a great Bond movie where the antagonist is set to destroy and kill as many people for revenge. It does not matter that he caused it to happen. And that his revenge will be his downfall. But unlike the Bond films, the antagonist is easier to understand and yet not feel any remorse for. Also these movies does not need many of the slick toys that Bond needs to save the day. Pathaan does it with just his wit, quick reflexes, and a single track of purpose to keep going where others would quit. A throughly enjoyable movie.
Shyam Singha Roy (2021)
This not A movie it is a epic tale retold in a beautiful and wonderful way.
This is an awesome movie that is more like a wonderful, sad, heart warming, beautiful, sad, joyful way.
I locations are amazing and almost like I am really there. The script is so well written that I can forget I am watching a movie but an actual story of love that is eternal, deep, and awe-inspiring. It is so easy to be drawn into it. The acting is very natural and vivid, only those whose heart and soul yearns to be told, to be set free. Being lead in a direction without knowing I will be surprised by the history and with that comes an understanding of the beginning. Because of that I clearly see the vista being revealed before my eyes. The driven passion for the unity of equals for all followed by the heartache of betrayal so insidious I can not fathom. The promise seemly broken to an intense emotional fulfillment. I've watched this movie several times and every time the enjoyment is greater.
Drishyam 2 (2022)
Better than the 1st one
I love the first one but that one was a great movies but it seemed to go from point A to B and so on to the ending. But this one was like watching a Chess match which was pointed out in the beginning of the movie yet I didn't realize the meaning of that till the end.
The writing in this movie is very sound, the acting is great and does not seem at all forced or wooden. It flowed through out the movie. The actors like Ajay Devgn is my favorite. I love all of his movies I have watched and I've seen several. The characters all have depth and mystery to them that kept me glued and I felt engulfed. It was not like I was just watching a movie but some how a part of that movie. Then when the curtain, so to speak, was raised. It was like wait a minute. What? What? I didn't not see that coming. Then another twist and still I said, wait a minute. What? What? It was like peeling an onion with all the different layers. Till I was wondering if he went back in time to solve each problem as it came up or that Vijay is actually a genius and he too can play an entire game of Chess before even moving the first piece on the board? Unlike a actually Chess board his only had One King and the rest are pawns to be controlled and manipulated in very subtle ways, at least to me anyway. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie.
The Ghost (2022)
This is a Feel Good Action story
I don't what the other reviewers was expecting from this movie but I think they really missed the mark on this one. I don't understand why so many can't go in with an open mind. To enjoy the movie for what it is. Which is a fun movie with some great action scenes.
The script is great and the locations are Awesome. The views are so amazingly beautiful. I'd say the dialog was very good but as it is another language and has English subtitles it would be hard to say for sure. The action is well done with the fighting found in many movies from India. It is over the top as that can't happen in real life. But that is not just this movie as many action movies much of the fighting can't actually happen that way. Like in RED where one of the good guys shoots a round fired from a bazooka in mid flight with a pistol. I don't watch these movies cause they could be real but because they are fun to watch. I really liked Vikram Naidu aka The Ghost in how important family is to him. He would do anything to protect his family from anyone that threatens them. Although he does have a violent temper and flies off the handle at times. The character is very likable. If you just want to watch a movies that takes you mind off what is going on your life, this is a good one to see.
Yevadu (2014)
What a wonderful feel good movie
This has some righteous revenge for *Spoilers* almost dying to come back and save the town from the protagonist. The story is great and how each character is brought in with their back stories is also great. The dialog is smooth with no cringe moments. The fight scenes are over the top but not too much. There is a love story also. But the main focus is about how a large group of people will allow a very small group to scare them into submission. That it only takes 1 person to bring hope and courage to come together to fight back. If people come together there nothing they can't do. A must watch.
RRR (Rise Roar Revolt) (2022)
I can't believe just how great this movie is.
I don't know why maybe it the music or the dancing but for some reason I really love watching it. I really to be able to swing a motorcycle like he did is really unbelievable. It like Jet Lee in The One where he killed every one oh him in alternate dimensions. Thus making even stronger for each person he kills. They are like bigger than live, like a supernatural being. If I was think that any part of it was real it makes my blood boil with hatred for the very for the British in the way they were treated, not even worth the cost of a bullet. I just loved how they used a flaming motorcycle to blow the place and killed the very evil lady that wanted to see him bleed a pool of blood at his feet. I was never so glad they got just what they deserved. It actually reminds me of how Russia is trying to control Ukraine. Just how Ukraine are fighting for their very freedom itself. I have litterly watched several times and I have enjoyed every time.
Quantum Leap (2022)
Quantum Leap 2.0
I have watched the piolet and watching the 2nd episode. I think it can be. I really feel if given half a chance this can be a really great show on its own merrit. I am looking forward to see where show will take us. But I think I am going to love the journey as much I Love the 1st show. The equipment has been seriously upgraded everything at the seems to some time in the future. I can see how new everything is and I want to see more. I really want know why he leaped the first time. I think there is a very important reason that that leaped and its something that we learn over this and hopefully season 2.
The Gray Man (2022)
A great action movie
Plenty of high speed chases. Great gun fights with martial arts galore. Never a dull moment. With a interesting plot with a few twists towards the end. One I would watch again. I really enjoyed it.
Tommy (1975)
An awesome rock opera
This movie was ahead of its time. If released today it would still be a smash hit. The music is simply amazing and visually stunning. Unlike some others I see nothing wrong with the casting. The singing is great. I can't tell you how many times I've watched this. I will agree with others, don't buy the soundtrack it doesn't sound right like it's missing the passion that is in the movie. It would be like buying the soundtrack from Jesus Christ Superstar. You will not like it after watching the movie. No passion in the singing.
Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert (2018)
A good performance but not a great one
Maybe I am too much of a Neely fan but the singing did not have the passion that the movie portrayed. I love the 73 movie the best. I also had the original Broadway version and although this version had more passion then that, it was so lacking. Jesus and Judas both seemed not to have the strength nor range to pull off their rolls. Where was the rage, the sadness, and the agony? I've also watched the 2012 tour version and Jesus and Judas both showed more passion and feeling but the play lacked the visuals that this one possessed. Another thing I noticed that the lyrics in several if not all the songs was different in all the plays from the movie. And what passion this play had in the songs was not at the same part in the song as was in the movie. The audience and many very long commercials was a hugh distraction. I'm so glad that I DVR'd this so I didn't actually had to watch them. I'm glad that I got to watch this but my favorite will alway be the 73 movie with Ted Neely and Carl Anderson.
5 Headed Shark Attack (2017)
5 Headed Shark (cause just 4 won't work)
This is not a bad movie but the CGI could have been done better. The acting is OK. With the CGI it seems at times the body of the shark is skinnier making the 4 heads seem even larger. At other times fatter. Also at the first attack the tail looked like a regular shark tale. Later the tail started morphing into the 5th head. Toward the end the 5th head lost the fin that made it look like it had a Mohawk.
The other reviewer missed a scene. The 5th head does in fact eat, one time. When the female cop falls off the boat the 5th head gets to enjoy the meal too.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again (2016)
What the heck was this?
I am a fan of the original movie and watch it many times at the midnight showing. It was not a movie but a event that had people acting out the parts in the theater. The original had passion had good acting and great songs. I don't know what this was. The main character tried to be like the original but fell way short. To me Rif Raf was the only one that came close to the original. Even the whole Meatloaf joke was off and ill timed. It didn't have the passion and the acting was very bad. The songs maybe the same but they were not sung the same. Where was the heart, the feeling? It made this very hard to watch. I had to re-watch the original to get this one out of my mind. It was that bad.
God's Not Dead (2014)
-God's Not Dead is a great movie. -spoilers -
I loved it. I thought it was a well done movie and the script was really great one of the best films to come out in a long time. Kevin did an outstanding job as the professor and was very believable. Willie Robertson was good and played an important part in the movie -spoiler If you acknowledge me before man I acknowledge before the Father any who denies me I will deny to the Father. That part is in Red so its important. Yes it is important. I enjoyed the movie and its like Left Behind. That even at the last second we still have a chance to be saved. That because of our free will that evil can happen to good people and that good can happen to bad people. Not everything we go though is caused by God but that if God allows us to go through it he will see us through it. I am reminded by what happened to the professor -spoiler- with Not a Fan where Eric died from a heart attack where his brother asked if God is so good and Eric is so good why did God let this happen? His reply was maybe God and Eric was not as good as people think. God is good and Eric became good and that was when he was attacked because he became good. If this movie brought just one person to God and His Grace this it was worth it.
Body of Proof: Daddy Issues (2013)
It was too short.
This could of been a 2 hour final episode. It felt rushed to get to the ending. It didn't flow like that other episodes, a little stilted.
I felt like we need more information. Just because some one was in love does not explain all that she has done, or killed. The role of villain seemed out of character for the chief Martin. Although it was a nice plot twist to have Megan's therapist save her from the the chief.
With no body and no proof why kill those people after all that time. She could of blocked the order to exhume. It was kind of a let down. It felt more like a cliff hanger for another season then an ending. Also its an end of another show I love to watch, bummed.
Person of Interest (2011)
Great show ;a new twist, Im hooked, but not new.
Did anyone here read or watch the movie Remo Williams it was written by Richard Sapair and Warren Murphy. It was a story about a man the had an eye on everything going on although not by camera so much but by people that sent in tips. They did not know to whom they sent them to. He found out that just by info alone he could not do his job protecting people so he found his enforcement arm and ex-military named Remo and had him taught martial arts from Chun. This is where it differs but Mr. Finch looks a lot like Mr. Harold Smith and Mr. Reeds looks like Remo and also fights like Remo but with weapons. I am looking forward to see where this show goes. I love it.
The Last Airbender (2010)
WHY? The Last Airbender: Just that bad. With Spoilers
****Contains Spoilers**** I agree with the other reviewers but I'll add this as it just ticks me off on how they did this movie so wrong.
To start off (spoiler) Aang was found when Katara and Sokka was out fishing in his boat(not on land) and it was a argument between Katara and Sokka that Katara started using her water bending skill and freed Aang from the ice and the fire nation was notified then but then later when Aang and Katara found the fire nation ship, after penguin sledding(not in the movie either) and set off one of the booby traps that sent a flair up.
Aang's arrows are just blue not tattoos. Katara and Sokka's hair are wrong, Katara's are missing the 2 strands from the back clipped to the front. Uncle Iroh or Iron as he's called on their website under characters, they used the wrong person for that role, wrong height, weight and hair, Prince Zuko's hair was wrong and so was his scar, and his father the fire lord is wrong.
Katara was not given the water bending scroll but Stole it from a pirate who stole it from the water tribe. Katara started teaching Aang before they reached the northern water tribe and he was picking it up fast which made Katara upset cause it took her months to learn.
There were so many character left out. The trip to the fire nation temple where Aang found out about the comet and how the war started also earlier when Aang was in the spirit realm it was left out when he found out when he is killed in the Avatar state.
The biggie at the end they left out when Aang was captured by Zuko and did the final battle all wrong maybe they couldn't pull it off but that was not how it ended in the cartoon and they should have tried to end it the right way.
Some of this will probably seem petty but its important to me to have character look right and main points included or done right.
Godzilla (1998)
A complete let down.
First, I want to let you know I am a fan of the original Godzilla movies. While I was watching this version I had that in mind(maybe that was a mistake), there is no comparison except for the name. The special effects are good, don't get me wrong, but you need more than that to make a great movie. There are some major differences between the two. The face on the old is smaller, the mouth is smaller and not filled with teeth like a dinosaur, the tail is shorter fatter rounded at the end not a sharp point, he was not a flame thrower but had a nuclear breath (which he used as an jet engine to fly, the new one didn't use his very often) the walk is also wrong it was more like some thing from Jurassic Park. There was also no mention about being asexual or laying eggs, the only one that comes close is the one about baby godzilla and that was a dream a child was having in the movie, there was nothing about how the baby came to be. The original monster didn't accidentally detroy some thing with his tail, he destroyed it on purpose plus most of the movies he is saving the town from another monster then leaving. With this new movie I just don't get it. The plot was bad, the acting ok, I have to ask. Did the wirter see ANY of the original movies and if so WHY so drastic of a change to the main character? I can only hope that if there are any more in the making that they are better and more closer to the original. If not I would rather they not be made, as in my opinion this new movie is an insult to the orginal GODZILLA and the people who made him.
