Stop this Blair Witch stupidity
s_vejle23 September 2019
Handheld camera episode - avoid at all cost. Blair witch introduced this way of filming - but 2 episodes so far this season is 2 to many! Who runs around filming during an apocalypse? I'm almost done with this series - they need to get more horror and action into this. It's almost like BH90210 just with some zombies instead of stupid teens!

This show has become SO bad
mpc515028 September 2019
I don't know why I do this too myself. If it wasn't for my love of the Walking Dead three years ago (that show is pretty bad lately) I would have bailed a long time ago. This show is on borrowed tune with me. It seems like everyone knows that it's over for the Walking Dead franchise except AMC.

The Gultch...
songod-9500326 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Morgan has been with the Walking Dead gang during times when Alexandria was overrun with the dead. He knows how to clear a place out. Variety of ways... sound, physically, fire (tho not an option with no gas), etc. Just staring at them and giving in to Ginny is not one of the ways.

Did Rick surrender to The Gov or Negan when things got crazy? Nope. Sure he lost his gravitas for half a season but soon he was back in action.

If Rick were in the lead, Ginny would already be dead, the oil\gas fields still theirs, and probably none of this "helping others" to the point of absurdity would have gone down. They'd all be living in the warehouse or the mall or...

But whomever is in charge of this show apparently has a serious substance abuse issue. Like an addict, they have lost the ability to keep their "story" straight or from falling into blithering nonsense. People around them, like the seasoned writers, keep trying to correct course, but the "in their own world" show runner keeps kicking the ideas in the head till they resemble the mush in their own.

I like actor Garrett Dilihunt. Have ever since "Sarah Connor: The Terminator" series. Like so many (Lance Hendrickson comes to mind) he brings goodness to even the worst of shows. I watch for him.

So much potential yet so bad
braedynh23 September 2019
This season is an absolute mess! Firstly, the storyline has been boring and each episode has been inconsistent, it's been a season of filler episodes with no direction. Secondly, every single character has become boring, one dimensional and stupid. Characters like daniel and Strand use to be complex and interesting, now they just stand there like every other character and add nothing to the show. Such a shame for such a great cast! Thirdly, having the show filmed in the perspective of Al's cameras is a terrible idea, boring and impossible to watch. Next season needs big changes

Why not just clear the space?
xjumper6523 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Walkers are behind in tact fences and there are what, 30 adults? Why not stand on the safe side of the fence and just kill the walkers through the fence. It might take several hours, but it's simple, safe, effective and above all, gets you EXACTLY what you wanted. Why are they so willing to give up so easily? Did they never consider that the gates might be open? C'mon, that's a season one mentality. This doesn't make sense especially for people like Daniel, Victor, and Alicia who have cleared places before. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this writing sucks.

Are they trying to make it as bad as possible on purpose?
jAPHEY423 September 2019
First of all, enough of the documentary-style narratives. It's been done before and is just lazy at this point. Secondly, I really like Morgan, but his character is not strong enough to be the show lead. He was much better as a supporting character. It's just waaay too much of him. Meanwhile, other members of the core group end up getting 1 out 2 minutes of screen time if they're lucky. It would be nice if we could get to know some of the rest of the group instead of the typical Morgan and John/June snooze-fests. Finally, it's insultingly boring. Everything the reviewers said before me is completely true. I too am glad this season is ending next week. And like some of the others, I'm giving it the axe too.

Logan was better...
ninjaboyballer30 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Logan was honestly a better villain then Virginia. She's just a annoying. I don't have anything against the actress it's just that the character they are asking her to portray is just weird and bland. And the found footage was kinda cool. Not the whole tape war but the parts that deliver action. Plus I don't get the ending. Rick and the gang have cleared out more walkers but they make it seem impossible to clear out that many walkers. Overall, this is just getting annoying and I'm starting to agree with the Fire the showrunners petition at change.org. By the way RIP Tom, he was the only character that had a reason to believe in the whole help people thing

Was Tom too stupid to live?!
xjumper6523 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Maybe Ginny was right. Maybe someone who is too stupid to get off a collapsing bridge is too stupid to be of any use to anyone. This writing is just so absurd. Why did they have to make Tom so stupid? Why couldn't the bridge collapse suddenly before Tom could get across? Why did they have to make us hate Tom for being the helpless girl who tries to run in high heels from the slow-walking monster -just asinine. I can't figure out who's dumber, Tom or the writers.

S5.E15 - I liked it [7.5/10]
panagiotis19938 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
(S5. E15) My Reaction / Review for Fear The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 15 ''Channel 5'': Episode 14 was good and I gave it a rating of 7.5/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Nice to see Alicia again, she is only in half the episodes which sucks. Now Virginia makes her own tapes and documentaries, interesting. It sucks that Grace is sick, I hope she doesn't have cancer. Another episode filmed by Al's cameras, perfect...not... And Virginia appears, I hate that character. Some cool fight scenes on the bridge. So the team has lost almost everything, I wanna see what they will do about it. I love how Daniel has the cat with him everywhere he goes. Is Morgan in love with Grace? The place they found is full of walkers, that's so sad. Wow now they are forced to ask Virginia for help, that's sad. Overall a pretty good episode, a 7.5/10 from me. I don't understand why this episode has such a low rating (5.1/10) on IMDB though.

The Gulch, not a good Idea?
ZegMaarJus13 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with Virginia and the other Pioniers. We see a speech of Virginia. Al is recording interviews and good parts for a documentary. Tom has her sister back, Alicia and Strand brought Janis back together with Tom. Grace fainted. Al got attacked by a walker, Alicia saved her. The group try to get to the other side of the bridge safely. The bridge fell down, Tom died. The group reached Humbug's Gulch. The Gulch is full of walkers, the group can't enter the Gulch. Dwight leaves the group. Morgan contacts Virginia, the group need her help. An okay episode of Fear the Walking Dead Season 5. The last few episode dissapointed me. Hopefully the next episodes will be better.

Why not kill Ginny?
xjumper6523 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Ginny gets upset that no one wants to go with her so she calls the walkers to attack the group. This is attempted murder of 40 people. Why in that moment doesn't sharpshooter John kill her 2 body guards while Dwight shoots the driver and then they both kill Ginny? It will likely provoke a war with the Pioneers but screw it, they are attacking the group anyway and they aren't giving you the fuel you need. I say go for broke instead of letting thempick you off one by one.

xoalliexo-484-80540024 September 2019
This was so boring that it was physically painful to watch, don't know how I managed to finish watching. I feel like they owe me an apology for subjecting me to this trash pile of an episode.

Hard to watch (updated)
Rob-O-Cop22 September 2019
I'm really struggling with this one. Well none of the episodes have been easy since we got a little bunch of ok ones from eps 3-5, but this is just beyond bearable.

So now they've got 2 camera coverage for their little home movies, for who exactly? They're spending all their time and energy on this when there are very pressing things to be addressed. Also you need electricity to play these things and to get that you need a generator, which is kind of a rare and special item in the post zombie world. And the rest of the group seem to have mass madness and go along with it?

I think we've all been quite forgiving to this series because we want it to be good. we like some of the characters and there's no reason it shouldn't be at least 45 mins of entertaining head candy, but this, this is like a science experiment to see how much you can insult an audience and get away with it.

Next week is the series final and it couldn't come too soon. I think I'm out.

*****Updated. - I had to stop watching after 20 mins. it was just so irritating to see good characters given cardboard lines to deliver for a nonsensical story. With fresh eyes I gave it another go this morning and, it was just as bad.

The bridge scene was utterly nonsensical. I feel sorry for the actors forced to deliver that stupid stupid storyline. The bridge's suspension wires are snapping, why exactly? And they're busy trying to mend a hole by nailing in some convenient boards that Alyssa happened to spot in the middle of nowhere. Don't move the truck, it'll collapse the bridge,..... If the suspension wires are snapping cos of the weight that's probably the only move you should be making.

so they abandon all their vehicles, instead of pooling the remaining gas into one or 2 vehicles (the swat truck which previously had never run out). Send someone ahead in one vehicle? it's only 15 miles. how bout a bike? Seasoned zombie apocalypse survivors acting like this is their first rodeo.

As others mentioned the stupid stand off with cowboy girl with her 2 henchmen against a team with a swat truck. wtf??? It's not just bad writing, it's idiotic and it's offensive to the actors, and to us to watch them have to deliver it.

The terrible new guy "Tom" removes himself from the equation but they manage to save his camera and we've got time to view the footage and edit it in.

There's a scene after the bridge where they each take turns to deliver an open conversation on their situation and what next. One line each and on to the next character. Man that was just so insulting to them all. Terrible terrible writing, cheesy cliche lines (there were plenty of them in this episode) and, it just made me feel depressed. Poor old Strand and Dorie forced to give it their all (and the actors did give it their best and deserve so much better than this). This time Strand got the best of a bad bunch where he asked ginny what she was offering. She doesn't make any sense at all though. Strand also gets an ok scene after everyone sums up their situation. But it really didn't help the unpleasant experience of watching these good actors (not Tom, he was terrible), give it a good team effort on a sinking ship of a story.

So bad I can't stop watching
cautastic25 September 2019
This show has fallen so far from greatness. The story is maybe the worst I have ever seen.

If the show started out this bad, it wouldn't be a surprise. But this show was good. Like really good. And it's really bad now.

I don't need to go into a million details on what makes this show so bad. I think the most obvious is is the character of Al. Her need to record everything is annoying. It's bled into the way the show is directed, now for the second time. It's like a bad parody of "The Office".

I would beg the producers to kill every character except Alicia, Strand, Daniel, Dwight, Morgan, and maybe John and June, have them meet up with Michonne in Alexandria, and be done with this embarrassment.

Worst ever
Sushi123 September 2019
Ok, this show is probably on the list of the worst shows ever on TV, the boring boooring story that is totally random as if they come up with ideas while they're filming, it feels like nothing is planned or written, the only goal is to keep on milking it. the EXTREMELY uninteresting characters and the dull, lazy acting.. I swear my eyes roll literally after every single scene.. In my opinion, the only thing that is saving this show is having TWD in its title.

Here we Go Again!
elvis-1198622 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Really another episode like episode 9!?! This is just bad. Seriously were do everyone get these cameras. And why do they think it is a good idea to film everything with cameras. And that dude on the bridge who just stood there to film everything even the bridge was collapsing, made 0 sense. And eventually he fell down. You know you can film everything on the safe side of the bridge. I have watching FTWD since season 4 and I can say with ezz that this 2nd galf of season 5 is the worst. It's even more terrible than TWD season 7 &season 8.!! One more week and this nightmare of season will finally end.! Morgan ruined this series. And they need new showrunners because it isn't what it needs to be. It needs to be horror series and more about zombie's not helping everyone. Ok do that but not the main story for the series!

Damn! Please, stop this invaluable documentary style!!
ProducersGuide22 September 2019
Producers! What is this? Is it some silly & fake zombie documentary? Or am I missing something?

What we are looking for is how this series used to be, with something valuable to watch. If this same silly documentary style continue in the finale, I'm out, and it would be a disaster for its future.

The worst episode by far and a weak direction.
cruise0123 September 2019
1.5 out of 5 stars.

The series can not get any worse with its direction. Most of the episode is documentary style with its found footage camera led by Al tapes. Interviews after interviews about their goals. The writing and direction is making the characters more stupid and annoying. Very difficult to care for anyone at this point. The direction in the end when Morgan and his people despise Virginia and her methods of survival. The episode is like a propaganda episode with two groups and their own methods. Which makes it a terrible story for this season.

Worst ever.
andrewjaro-935-4901669 January 2020
All of season 5 has been too preachy and this is no different. The recording thing was stupid, didn't work before works less here.

Why not go to Daniel's place? He had tons of supplies. Why did that guy record on the bridge? Why not just kill one by one through the fence? Why am I still watching?
