In an earlier season it was mentioned her parents died in a car accident.

If I recall correctly, last season Blake's parents visited and thought he should have a more important job and Elizabeth felt he is better than just being her assistant. So she gave him a year to find a more worthy job or she would fire him. Blake is my favorite character. So cute. He better stay.

How did Elizabeth's parents die? She visits their gravesites for the first time in this episode.

Have the writers forgotten that HSH Prince Albert of Monaco's mother was Grace Kelly, one of the most famous american actresses of her day? The story line does not portray His Highness in a favourable light nor his Principality. And it certainly shows no respect for the memory of Princess Grace nor Prince Rainier and the work done to improve the reputation of Monaco
