Summer in Bastogne
denkrab23 November 2019
I really like this show because of the experts. Also, it's interesting to see the film clips but the pace in the cutting as very hectic. Often we see 0,4 seconds of a very interesting part with soldiers or tanks or planes and it would've been great to see more of it but apparently it's crucial to squeeze in as many micro clips as possible. Most annoyingly are all the summer shots used to depict what happened in and around Bastogne in December! Countless clips show soldiers in summer gear walking around trees and bushes in full bloom and lush green grass. I can understand if the producers don't have a lot of actual footage from those days but they must have plenty of winter shots from other places. Worst of all are the clips in full daylight which are supposed to show the start of a bombardment of Bastogne at 5.30 am on a December morning. It would have been pitch black night at that time of day.
