I liked the original series so when the show came out I was willing to give it a chance I've watched a few episodes and it was highly predictable but it was OK until this episode
Asked to find a little girls missing cat Magnum stumbles on to a bigger mystery when another cat not the one he was hired to find appears with bloody paws which he tracks to an FBI safe house where an agent has been murdered Naturally he tries to find the individual responsible for the murder. Magnum is kidnapped By the killer who happens to be a corrupt FBI agent and is taken hostage. The killer takes our hero out on his boat in an attempt to kill him and get rid of the body. After a struggle Thomas was able to overcome the bad guy. In the process he shoots the fuel line and the boat explodes. Both men dive overboard and Magnum is able to swim toward the bottom recover the gun and shoot the bad guy. A goof occurs while he's in the Life raft waiting to be rescued as suddenly he has a nice clean crisp haircut. When he goes back to tell the little girl he wasnt able to find her cat he rings the doorbell and well she appears with the cat he came home on his own . Then the mother naturally thanks him, he asks her out and she says well he needs to get over his previous relationship in so many words. Ughhhh. I think next time I'll just watch reruns of the original .
