Jason Stuart rules!
robinmcdonald1422 December 2020
Jason Stuart makes 100 % of every second of his on screen time portraying the earnest, lovelorn Hank. Anyone who has ever compromised for love will recognize that look of searching for something that isn't there in their partner. Bravo!

Excellent Short Form Film!!! Great performance by Jason Stuart

I love good character actors, and Jason Stuart is one of them. His performance here is so authentic, so fearless that you could feel your own moments of shame, doubt, hurt, confusion, fear and loss along with Hank. The story is universal in that everyone must navigate personal relationships through change and conflict, and so this film resonates. The director also does an excellent job of telling Hank's story in this short format. Hank is an excellent example of why I love short film.

open adjustment
ferguson-625 June 2019
Greetings again from the darkness. Every relationship has its own dynamics, but few are more challenging than the stark reality of an "open" relationship. Hank (Jason Stuart) and Tommy (Jay Disney) have been married for many years and recently moved to L.A. The new town and the new dynamic in their relationship is just a bit too much for Hank to handle.

Hank's emotional crisis includes the insecurities of a man that is aging, and leads him to a support group, as well as a bar where he drinks too much ... including a most unusual beer-drinking style. Hank is a nice guy that trusts others, and that trusting nature leads him to a situation where he is easily taken advantage of. Left vulnerable and embarrassed, filmmaker Hongyu Li leaves us wondering if any long-term relationship can survive such changes.

It's a film where Mr. Stuart's performance is grounded in reality, and the topics broached are worthy of further discussion.

Enjoyed the movie, excellent acting

I enjoyed this short very much. It is quite heartbreaking actually because the actor who plays the title role is so real in it. Especially this scene where he is eating his lunch in a park. I dont know, for some reason that scene really touched me and it was because the actor (Jason Stuart) was really human and vulnerable in it. He is a very good actor I can see why he has won awards for this role. Anyway, I recommend watching this movie.

Jason Stuart

I been following Jason Stuarts' career for over 10 years he is truly a mercurial actor. His characters have been heartwarming and also down right scary as in Birth of a Nation. As Hank I love how he lets us witness vulnerability as we see the breakdown of an intimate relationship and the emotional and psychological toll it takes on Hank. Congratulations Jason continue with the great work Sir.
