The acting, not in general but of certain characters/actors, is a bit bland sometimes; not really that much of an issue to me. And the acting of Ying Ying is pretty cheesy, and so is her dialogue, at least in this episode. Some of the lines are cliché too. The CGI of the water dragon wasn't great, either. Honestly, it was kind of bad but not to the point of being egregious. I didn't base my feelings and rating of the episode on the fact that it was bad CGI or anything like that. But the premise is intriguing, and the episode was surprisingly enjoyable.

Episode 1: Delivers what it is supposed to deliver with nice eye-candy actions, cheesy acting sometimes (not a big issue here), good score, on its own merits and some nice photography and filming.
The main lead's prowesses are what I like the most and his style and power show are always a treat to watch as in most of his productions.

The story is immediately fast paced and bids you to watch the next episode. The music is good and I kind of feel this is Netflix own version of Iron fist but it could be better than Iron fist. Let's see where this goes.

And after so many decades, and after so many billions of Chinese people... They still don't take Chinese to play Chinese. Well, at least it's not an American with they eyeliner, cause Chinese don't look enough like Chinese.
Iko is great fighter. But bad actor, so he should keep the mouth shut (Raid... Proof).
Anyway, I'll probably watch it till the end cause apparently I love to waste my time, and I like MA sequences, but it truly could've been better. It's in the intellectual level of Power rangers.
