Warning: Spoilers
The curse disappears because it was all in Amy's head, so now that she's getting help it's gone. The new song and the imagery that goes with it is a response to that change. It's kind of a bittersweet funeral of her previous self-destructive song and ideas. Her band mates can play real instruments because usually experimental musicians start on regular instruments and are usually very skilled in order to be able to expand to weird instruments and weird music.

I thought it was an awesome episode. Really amazing acting and portrayal of mental health. Made me cry several times. I loved it!

Full of plotholes
daisyisabaker27 April 2021
They spend the past 4 episodes obsessing over "The Curse" only for it to be completed forgotten in this episode.

Amy says she knows how to stop the curse, but she literally doesn't do anything apart from scream in her bedroom.

Another plothole is that the music suddenly becomes completely different. Hylda comments that Amy and her band play lots of be weird instruments. Yet in this episode they all miraculous know how to play normal instruments such as Piano, Violin and Drums. Where have all their weird instruments disappeared to? All the aesthetics are shifted and now everything is over-the-top cringe hipster pastel. Obvious attempt at appeasing to "art" critics is obvious.
