Well THAT was energizing! One moment you're enjoying the humor of being a fly-on-the-wall in the midst of an intimate gathering of over-privileged, artistically pretentious, cynical-and-proud-of-it beautiful young people spewing casual racism even as they put their own sophisticated twist on cultural appropriation. And then...seconds before the end THERE IS A REVEAL that manages to reframe everything even as it leaves you with an even more nuanced feeling of unease. I apologize for parallels, but the only person who's walking this same modern-culture/racism/humor tightrope with such incisive intelligence and casual grace right now is Jordan Peele. (Oh, and BTW I hope I can say this cause I'm also a female? But the color-saturated opening frame of an Emma Stone lookalike with the kind of red hair Technicolor was made for sort of jump started my energy.)

Classic ending.

Really enjoyed this short. Made me uncomfortable and made me laugh at the same time. My favorite part was the ending, classic stuff. This is a scenario that probably plays out everyday but never discussed through this medium. For that, I appreciated it.
