It ends with a thumping great final.

The body count increases, as one of the suspects is killed, Taggart skips going on holiday, leading to a big fall out with Jean.

You are made to made, not until the very end do you get to learn the killer's identity. My early pick for the killer was put to bed in one dramatic, unexpected scene, I did not see that moment coming.

This one features a really good, exciting ending, the show seemed to use this kind of formula, a slow and steady build up, then a big, dramatic conclusion, it works here, it would work in the next story, Death Call.

They got me, I had no idea who the killer was. I do feel that one or two loose ends were left

A great moment between Jim and Jean, we're given an insight into his frustrations, I think that's a topic that would be explored here and in years to come.

Best line, 'to Canada, yer Dunderhead.'

Rhona Cameron was definitely an interesting character, Claire Nielson was great here, I think I and many will always remember her for Fawlty Towers.

8/10.
