Why Tasha Smith
vtwoods-015902 August 2019
This movie was beyond predictable with terrible acting. I don't know why Tasha Smith or RonReaco Lee ( Survivors Remorse) would agree to participate in the film because they are good actors.
I agree with most reviewers, another Breaking In that not so exciting.

More Like "Breaking In" From Gabrielle Union
darnellrice6 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the movie on BET today and it seemed more like the movie Breaking In starring Gabrielle Union... The hostages came in their home and held their daughter hostage just like they did in Breaking In with the two kids... Plus from the original film, Gabrielle Union and her kids survived just like they did on this movie... Its a good movie and all but trust me when u see the movie its gonna be somewhat like the film Breaking In and I felt like they copied the script from that movie.
One of the worst movies I've seen...ever!

Another Cliches Stokes Movie Complete With Music Video Cinematography and Sad Sex Scenes With Loud Background Music
donaldgalloway3 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is equipped with all the Chris stokes stereotypes. A scene with a loud rnb/rap song in the background. Extremely wealthy main characters. Crying with no tears. A bad actor. Some good actors that are only getting a check. A plot from a better movie and Camera panning like a music video.
If you like to play drinking games while you watch terrible movies then this is the perfect film.

This is easily one of the worse movies I have seen.. I don't know why people are rating it so high? The acting is so bad.. Theres a scene she's standing half naked for about 10 minutes having a casual conversation with her husbands killer.. she's standing there like she's trying seduce him and doesn't even look scared or sad about the fact this guy had killed her husband.. who directed this garbage? I've been cringing throughout this whole movie.. so painful to watch..
A WASTE OF MY TIME

Terrible Ending
Kristamw6 August 2019
The movie starts off with a good premise. A newly widowed woman and her family is put in danger when they are held hostage over her late husband's secret that none of them know anything about. Unfortunately, two factors ruined the movie: bad acting and a cynical ending.
Writing Quality: The plot is actually decent with the family's lives becoming more endangered as the two masked men are convinced they must know something about Brenda's late husband's secret. There are a couple of slow motion shots that are well executed. The voices of the two villains come off as deep and mechanical, sending out a chilling vibe. The setting of the home is absolutely gorgeous and visually pleasing. But the acting by Tasha Smith (Brenda) is atrocious. First, just after her husband dies, she shows no sadness or much emotion and instead consoles her friend, her husband's work partner, who is shedding many tears of sorrow. Smith proved her acting prowess in Why Did I Get Married and Daddy's Little Girls, but here she barely shows any reaction to her situation. It's awful. And RonReaco Lee's (Cain) acting is just as stale.
Scare factor: The masked men's voices give you goosebumps. There are several situations where the family's lives are at stake.
Content (sex, language & violence): Brenda is seen standing in bra and panties for no particular reason. Some language. Lots of violence.
Values: None really. The ending could have saved this movie. Instead, it plunges it into a dark cynical and vengeful hole.
Pathetic

Had potential

So this movie had some potential but the actors... HORRIBLE! There were about 2 good actors, a few mediocre actors & a ton of horrible actors. The plot of the movie was good I just can't look past the horrible acting...
Extraordinarily Bad

Yet again I scratch my head and wonder how this dreadfully dull script was given the go ahead!
This could quite possibly be one of the worst films ever made. Full of cliches average acting it just goes nowhere.
Note to whoever was in charge of continuity. Do something else for a career. Towards the end of the film there is a very big clock in the house that keeps changing time.
Fairly sure early in the film you can see the camera operator or director perhaps in the reflection of a glass door.
Trust me don't waste your time on this woeful movie unless you need a good laugh.

Cringy AF and Hilarious!

From the opening, I was laughing because I knew it was going to be bad. I totally predicted the 'friend' was the one behind the whole thing. The acting was only horrible because the writing was. I've seen the actors in other movies and they were never this cringy.
The parts that should have been full of suspense like when the cops came to the door was so ridiculous. No tension whatsoever. Their line of questioning was so stupid, I just wanted them to leave. "Why were you drinking?" LOL!
The part where grandma was waking up should have been another one of those tense moments. We should have seen her wake up, walk to the bathroom or something, even go downstairs and get some water without knowing a damn thing. That would have been far more exciting. But no, she just walks out and starts yelling. Funny AF.
The action wasn't thrilling at all. At all times I felt they were playing cops and robbers.
Bad angles, sound wasn't mixed well in some places, and you could the ending was the cherry on the cringy top. I recommend you watch with friends for a good laugh.
Interesting plot, horrible story.

I WANT TO FLY TO LA AND PUNCH THE DIRECTOR. ANNOYINGLY BAD

Ok baby as the lead says every five seconds. The acting is infuriating. I wasn't aware that a politicians chief of staff gets on the tv news when dead. The reporter crying was the first thing to make me twitch. When she then later gets shot through the head there are no squibs just a flash of light that is reminiscent of lightning and no blood. When had to turn off after 45 mins. Just that lead saying BABY one more time I would have smashed the tv into 1000 pieces. I hope the people whom made this crap never work again.
Don't waste your time on this terrible film.

Terrible, all around. The basic premise isn't bad, some secret coming around to cause trouble for a widow and her family, but the way this was put together just didn't work. The acting is flat, and unbelievable. The characters are forced at best, and often ridiculous. The plot is so full of holes you want to scream. Add in the blatant racism, with every white character we see being a bad guy, and it's beyond pathetic. The dialogue stank, the directing wasn't good, and the only remotely believable character was the teenager. Even the sets weren't impressive. Just an overall waste of time, using bits and pieces of good movies, and doing so badly.
Did anyone preview the scenes?

The movie was OK for a low budget film. However, my son pointed out a scene in which someone attempted to run out of view of the camera and hide behind a tree.
At first, we thought that it was supposed to be the authorities preparing to arrest the perpetrator, but then the scene changed. We rewatched the scene twice just to be sure.
Ok, we didn't see a thing!!!

Warning: Spoilers
I ran out of time after watching this film, in short, just wasted my time. The role of each characters, particularly the villains doesn't match the act, eg, a so-called Marine and secret service agent easily taken out by mom/daughter, unconvincing act by leader of the villain. And lastly, not well thought of ending.

Would talented Tasha Smith be a part of this mess. I agree with dramafreebri. Please Chris Stokes, stop making movies! I could not even finish this. I only clicked on it because of Tasha Smith, but I could not finish it.
Boring and predictable.

It's one of those Sunday mornings, you are looking for something to watch, this pops up on Netflix so why not.
The film is totally predictable, I can't really say I'd worked out who was behind it, it's so obvious you could see it if you were asleep, many have said about the scene where she is stood in her underwear for nearly 10 minutes, the whole scene made no sense at all.
Don't waste your time, seriously it's not worth it
