There was room for so many more colony's, alien and or of the resistance stories. I just loved this show, the ending was not to my satisfaction.

I don't understand, if the system was down and Roy Morrow deleted the resident list, how Kate find the address of her son's girlfriend?!

Not a real finale, plot left out for a future next season

I'm sure we will have a future 4th season with a real finale since so many conflicts were left out without any resolution like these ones below:

• What happened to Nolan and Katie's sister Madeline (Amanda Righetti)
• What will happen once Broussard and Will and all the rest of chosen warriors land on the earth-like jungle planet? Are their military skills and smarts prevail this time against the semi transparent aliens?
• What's will Everett Kynes (Wayne Brady) do once he fully recovers from his injuries?
• Will -finally- some alien kill Bram , such an obnoxious, big attitude and bitter character badly portrayed by Alex Neustaedter. His bad acting is really painful to watch.
• Will the colonies be destroyed with such huge balls of fire?
• Will somebody finally kill Snyder, who was becoming more and more psychotic?
• Will Katie and Will reconnect and have their lovely family back (Bram-less)?
• Are the bad aliens going to be stopped to be able to recover the world's democracy and bring freedom again to humankind (lol)?
• Will Donald Trump be impeached?

I'm so sad that this was the last episode. So sad sad sad ending and no answers beacause stupid people cancelled the show. So much more they could do if there were more seasons.

I just realized that there's no season 4 and that season 3 came out in 2018

I don't what to feel now, probably sad because Colony was unique amongst many other shows. I guess I can only thank Netflix for adding in the 3rd season. Good shows always get cancelled, first Terra Nova then it nearly happened with The Expanse.

I was left scratching my head. Did everyone die ? What was the point of the invisable alien that made everyone drop dead if thats what happened or passed out.

Bram is horribly written

Bram. Just. His character really shows how TV regularly do a bad job with characters his age. Make your mind up, there's no consistency whatsoever. I get teenagers are a bit "all over the place" but..... such bad writing. Can't fault the actor, fair play to him, child/teen actors regularly fail miserably which compounds the poor writing they seem to get.

It's hard to rate the episode itself, the show clearly has a LONG way to go before it should have finished. Do you humiliate yourself and give a 1/10 based on the fact it ends here like other imbeciles leaving reviews? Do you delude yourself and give it a 10?

Good episode in a very good show. The cast in Colony are all really good, Sarah Wayne Callies, Josh Holloway and Peter Jacobsen were all brilliant, same as they have been in every other show they've been in. Same for Wayne Brady on the season he was there. Broussard was a great character as well. I'll use the term "lesser known" for the rest based on my viewing experiences but the cast were just... honestly, great.

But overall a massive disappointment. By now the real life Gracie and Bram will have aged quite a lot, and the way S3 ended a time skip to adjust for their age wouldn't be easy IF we were to imagine a Season 4, which just isn't happening how highly any fans rate or even overrate the show.

Goodbye Colony, so much potential, pretty much entirely wasted on the mess that is trying to create a TV show which survives a second season these days.

Another one of my favorite series cancelled. Do television studios not want to make money? Are they attempting to follow the Netflix protocol of 'Let's burn money'? This show had great IMDB ratings from the start. So, it was making money. I thought only Netflix cancelled money-making shows, but I'm starting to see that others do it as well. What did they replace it with? If I follow the Netflix pattern, maybe a renewal of something as hated by viewers as 'Another Life', renewed by them after the wonderful ratings viewers did not give it. Colony never dipped below a 7 in any of it's seasons, 'Another Life' got barely over a 4, so yes, cancelling this show, and with a 'cliffhanger' episode, is basically a 'slap in the face' to viewers. Where is the respect that we deserve?

And to the reviewer who said "Lori from TWD shows up mid-raid..." she's actually Katie from Colony... Did you even watch the series?

Really? They ended the whole series with a cliff hanger? This television network just beat out Lost (and apparently GOT) for the crappiest series ending of all time! I'm with the other teed off viewers who have vowed to never watch a program by these jerks (USA Network) ever again. Even if they didn't have much notice, they could have at least allowed a two hour episode to tie things up. What an insult to their viewers.

This was such a good series, especially this last season (well at least until this episode). This series was what real scifi is supposed to be. Sorry folks, but if you ever bothered to actually read, then you'd know that the big battle centric "stories" like star wars and such are such a minor percentage of the whole genre and definitely not amongst the greats. True SciFi is about exploring and expanding the mind, not just about blowing stuff up -- that stuff is for children with others with deficit attention spans.

I should've skipped this whole show

I should've read ahead to find out that the final episode was an unexpected series finale, when it was supposed to be a season finale. The entire 3 seasons reaches its crescendo, then get cancelled. USA and Netflix don't give a crap about their viewers. Netflix shouldn't have even picked up this cancelled series. We have no idea what happens, who survives, who dies. A good show, but what a waste of my time.

I quite enjoyed Colony and I was mad when they announced its cancellation. After seeing this ending though I am not sure i'd bother to watch a S4 if it did come out. Its as if they fired all the writers and brought in new ones who were clueless about the storyline and made something up that went in the complete opposite direction.

The writing in this episode makes no sense.

So they're in a raid on the armory and then Lori from TWD shows up mid-raid when they only had three minutes to get in and out, and they have this entire 5 minute conversation in the hallway at the place they're raiding....soooo stupid.

not enough watchers

This show had two good seasons and then average third one. Main problem was there was no enough viewers, at lowest only 0.44. Another problem was actors and their story arc.

Katie Bowman: part of the resistance, yet better to be in house wife's in boring land. She wanted to get away colony in LA, and she had ok job being bartender. They moved to Seattle to be in colony and being a bureaucrat and forget resistance. I think she should have been even more active in resistance, because Charlie was now dead, killed by the system.

Will Bowman: The Will Bowman Show. This show revolved too much around Will Bowman/Josh Holloway. So too much smelling their own farts.

Bram Bowman: Being angsty teen and having no direction at all. There was no coherent character development.

Story flow. They left so many loose ends and jumped around places and times so it was hard to follow what was going on.

Woman who helped them to board train apparently was killed by drone, but why didn't she board on the train? If there was that 60sec limit and someone had to left behind and get, then it was stupid way to travel.

Conspiracy theorist/resistance leader. Broussard identified him in the pile of dead ones, but there was also scene where he was alive and accused as a coward, fleeing first.

This had a good idea where to start, but they didn't have main story written, just few paragraphs. This tried to copy Lost mystery with angry Sawyer faces, Walking Dead style road trip with stops and fearing the monsters and Jericho style isolation and government secrecy in the background. And pods for special people like in Wayward Pines.

Biggest mistake they did was not tying ends after every season to wrap it up, if it wouldn't be renewed.

I think most of the humanity was killed in the end. Only those 400k? outliers were left behind to start a new earth. I think those machines were remnants of lost world. They were fleeing from those aliens whose main purpose was to kill any intelligent races. (Alastair Reynolds Redemption Ark)

I've really enjoyed watching this series but what a rubbish ending! I just found out it was cancelled so no more to answer so many questions. They could have done far more with the invisible alien story but seemed to go round in circles in the last four or five episodes. Not impressed.
