The Concrete Jungle: An Interview with Robert Miano (2017)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

This seventeen-minute interview with actor Robert Miano can be found on THE CONCRETE JUNGLE release but this here covers various parts of his career. You get some conversation about THE CONCRETE JUNGLE but then Milano talks about other parts of his career including a story about Burt Lancaster as well as Steven Siegal, Dario Argento and others. Overall, if you're a fan of Miano then you'll certainly enjoy this interview, which covers a good portion of his career including him talking about how he doesn't always play bad guys, although it does seem like it. There are plenty of nice stories here that fans should enjoy hearing.

Nice interview

Warning: Spoilers
Character actor Robert Miano has had a long and impressive career, so it's no surprise that he has a wondrous wealth of entertaining stories to tell in this lively and enjoyable 17-minute interview. Miano starts out by talking about his small role as a mugger who gets shot by Charles Bronson in "Death Wish," mentions that he used to go jogging with either Henry Silva or Burt Lancaster, notes that director Abel Ferrera is a wild guy who married his second cousin while Steven Seagal was a gentleman to him, and even reveals that he played stickball with Al Pacino as a kid growing up in the Bronx. Moreover, Miano's story about how he was cast as menacing Mafia hood Sonny Red in "Donnie Brasco" is a doozy. Miano's anecdote on how the money to make Dario Argento's "Giallo" was wired to the set at the last minute is likewise a pip. In addition, Miano has pleasant things to say about various people he worked with on "The Concrete Jungle." Recommended viewing for Robert Miano fans.
