I Tried...I Really Did....
kcrisenphoenix20 June 2022
But I only made it 24:20 and simply couldn't get through any more. Music is staggeringly bad, I think my dog could have done better walking over a keyboard. The acting is roughly that of a Jr High School production. NONE of these people are going on to win Oscars and looking aback in embarrassment. I can only imagine the actors were friends of the creator of this show. I hope someone else likes it, but the third time blood the color of tomato soup drooled out of a vampire's mouth for no reason at all, I couldn't bear to go any further....

Dollar tree special
bloodredjackal12 March 2022
I like a good independent B-Film here and there. This one sucked! I bought it at a dollar store lol It's good for background noise if you are cleaning your house. I sat threw this movie and found myself looking up stuff on the internet. The plot had potential but was lost! If you find this movie at a Walmart bin just go to a dollar store and save money.

It's sad to watch and a waste of time.

It's aspirering to be a V-movie, but never really get anywhere. The director / instructor ought to have seen other V-movies before doing this movie.

A Frightening Message
prolear3 November 2020
Robert Joseph Butler has taken his writing and directing to the next level with his first feature length film. His camera shots are both masterful and varied. He doesn't rely on trick shots to tell his story. The sets and costumes he uses give this film a feel of a larger budget feature. The acting is very good and never over the top. Butler dares to tell a cautionary tale through three time periods. Without giving too much of the message away, suffice it to say that if we don't become involved with bettering our world, no one, not even the undead will be able to survive. A novel approach to a vampire tale.

Vampires throughout the decades
Woodyanders10 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This neat and inspired bloodsucker saga follows three generations of female vampires.

Chapter One. Ruthless land speculator and vampire Duncan (a marvelously nasty portrayal by Richard Tyson) zeros in on fatally ill widow Josephine (a splendid performance by Aphrodite Nikolovski). This segment boasts a flavorsome 18th century period atmosphere.

Chapter Two. Lonely economics professor Patricia Williams (beautifully played with heart-wrenching vulnerability by Erika Holland) befriends night class student Fiona (a sultry and sturdy turn by Jordan Trovillion), who unbeknownst to Patricia is really a vampire. The strong chemistry between the two female leads gives this story an extra potent and emotional punch.

Chapter Three. A desperate Josephine resorts to drastic measures to keep her daughter Eliza (sweet Julie Kline) alive after the girl drinks tainted blood in a bleak near future that's fallen into chaos due to a severe financial collapse. Like the previous chapter, this segment likewise packs an extra potent and poignant emotional punch because of Josephine's deep-seated love for her ailing daughter.

Writer/director Robert Joseph Butler keeps the intricate narrative moving along at a steady pace, maintains an admirably serious and sincere tone throughout, gives the vampire characters a certain soulful humanity, and grounds the fantastic premise in a grimly plausible socioeconomic reality. A refreshingly different and ambitious take on the vampire horror genre.

A thinking person's take on the vampire myth
greine-0696512 February 2021
Rob Butler has really turned a tired formula on its head, creating a powerful movie with unexpected twists, great character development, and an important message to boot.

Warning: Spoilers
A film that I truly enjoyed watching. A low budget film that doesn't appear low budget because of the smart casting choices and the directing qualities from a very talented and upcoming future film director Robert J Butler. I love how the film has its own unique different chapters from different era of the same plot.

Film Critique for "Love Immortal"
lipenholtzlaw9 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
My film 🎥 review 4 "Love Immortal" 2019, local indie Michigan filmmaker's female driven cast/ film noir inspired vampire genre film premier from Robert Butler. This was an outstanding effort from cast and crew. As the lights came on in the theatre, I had the pleasant surprise to see that many of the actors were in my row. They all sang Rob's praises as a director. The film included artistic iconic Tarantinoesque moments that were worth the admission price. The lead Aphrodite Nikolovsky gave a strong performance as the overprotective concerned helicopter Mom. Julie Kline is impeccably cast as the daughter coming of age. Jimmy Doom added comedic and gritty realism as the blood broker. Cheryl Marie Freeman did a fabulous job with wardrobe, her costumes traversing centuries with her sewing machine and design skills. If you don't get queasy at the sight of blood, and there is A LOT of blood, this would be a film I recommend you check out due to the solid story, cinematography, & original score. 2 thumbs up and congratulations.

Great twist on a popular genre
pearlquake18 October 2020
Have you ever felt empathy for a concerned mom who just happens to sustain herself through drinking the blood of others? After watching this movie, I can now say that I have. It's hard out here on a vampire...two or three centuries of environmental changes, economic collapses and dwindling resources gets old! Excellent story and great performances!

Not your typical vampire film.
atlasnetai28 January 2023
The story is about vampires. I guess. But really it's a vehicle for introducing the audience to more horrific monsters; humanity and globalization.

This is the only vampire film i've seen that i've liked.

The economics is on point, and has turned out the prophetic. It will continue to be more prophetic in the years to come. The horror of this film is that it's turned out to be a facsimile of the horrors of the world we are now film ourselves in.

This film was made in 2019. At the time of this review, it's now 2023. In the years that have past, the theme of the film has correlated tightly with what we've seen in reality.
