My overall rating of "Bron/Broen"'s Season 4: 5/10

So with this episode it is officially confirmed what makes a "Bron/Broen" episode shine the most for me: Saga and Henrik having a dialogue in which profound things are revealed about their respective psyches. In both "Avsnitt/Afsnit 3.6" and this one, this conversation happens at the end of the episode, and whereas the former finally confirms an amazing plot element about Henrik that had been hovering phantasmally throughout Season 3, this one is only another plotbeat about Saga, but one that underscores with terrific honesty and brutality how difficult it is for her to interact with normal people and how detached she is from their feelings, even when it comes to people she (thinks she) loves. An absolutely brilliant moment, foreshadowed in this episode and referencing things previously established.

What else is in there? The plotlines keep unfolding in an interesting manner, especially now that this gay Iranian guy's plotline has been thankfully concluded. The characters and portrayals are interesting and believable.

However there are cringier moments too - Dan's confrontation with his son and Frank early on is resolved way, way too conveniently and hilariously. Dan's further fate is curious by somehow never surfacing again, even though you'd think it's bound to, all things considered. Some dialogues/events also affect this malus to the score, the girls' actions included.

(I've watched this series in original languages with English subtitles)
