First off, the titles are very misleading. A more appropriate title for the show is "African Wildlife Icons" because the show is solely focused on Africa. The episode titled "Dung Beetle" actually discusses a variety of insects and small animals. And so on.
The show needs some serious editing to make its information not seem so redundant. In the worst example, the first episode is basically a recap episode of the series, showing all of the animals briefly, while the rest of the series just shows all of the same animals with a little bit more information. And since the show focuses on the biggest wildlife icons from Africa, there is actually very little new information that hasn't already been covered excessively in numerous other documentaries.
But with that said, the footage is great throughout the series. Plus there was a bit of info that was new to me, specifically in the bug and scavenger episodes. I'm glad I watched it, though I'll probably never rewatch it.
