Colorful, vibrant and made to intrigue us in all possible ways, the Godard trailer for his own film "Made in U.S.A." works as a good cause to attract audiences back then to see it, and even new viewers. Defining itself as a poetic, political and police film, the movie has of all - mystery, comedy, drama, art and entertainment altogether. And the lovely presences of Anna Karina and Jean-Pierre Léaud, which practically makes us desperate to see it.
Going by those standards, the trailer is perfect. It truly sells the product and the brand JLG, yet without detailing what the story is all about. You're totally in it. As for the movie (seen many years earlier) it's quite a disappointment, possibly the first time I didn't care for what he had made. To be seen again in the years to come. Meanwhile, this upcoming attraction gets a higher approval than the movie. 7/10
