"Aliens: Epilogue" is, like the title already gives away, a fan-made short film that takes place in the "Alien" universe. This one was made 3 years ago and runs for 27 minutes, so fairly long for a fan project. The writer, director and lead actor is Darren Kemp and it is his very first effort as a filmmaker. Unfortunately, he has a lot to improve still. I was not impressed watching this. Then again, I am not the biggest fan of the "Alien" films. I have seen one or two, mildly liked them, but never been too enthusiastic about these. I guess Kemp was. Also Ifelt that the "Alien" references were not too frequent and I may not even have seen the connection without reading about it in the title. I recommend this half-hour film only to the biggest fans of the franchise, it did look pretty amateurish at times and the acting, especially the line delivery, could have been a lot better. Thumbs down.
