I just couldn't believe how bad this episode is.
Everything sucks. The script is ridiculous, even the acting with the usual pompous "big words" mannerism, a trademark of scandal, fails. Some minor out-of-the-ordinary little jokes aren't helping either.
But the most dreadful and annoying thing in this episode is the direction.
I usually like the direction of scandal. But this...this is a new low in television history. Incoherent, with lots of unnecessary frames with obstacles in in front of the actors, unnecessary movement and out-of-the-room shows (when Cyrus proposed to his first wife, I thought someone was lurking in the other room to attack them!).
Direction is a language. It has rules. And traditions. You don't just take the camera and shoot whatever toy feel is "artistic" or "Edgy".
I know Regina King as an actress and she is not a full time director but this is terrible. Mrs. King DON'T quit your day job...
