I made an account just to review this episode so bear with me as i go on a rant about the intensity of this episode. This is hands down the best episode of the whole series. The acting is the best i've seen in a while and it might be the most nail-biting episode after Breaking Bad's Ozymandius, especially during the trade-off scene, with Carrie stealing the show with her best performance of the series with her scene with Saul, which is saying something; her talk with Saul's wife was so honest and full of emotion, reminding her of the hard decisions that she might need to make once again if things don't go as planned. If this wasn't enough, the end was just incredible, I literally jumped out of my seat during the rpg strike which was just a decoy and even Dennis did not expect the embassy breach. I cant wait for the next episode.

"Homeland" With a Vengeance

Greetings from Lithuania.
When you start to think that it's hardly gets better than the last episodes of "Homeland", "There's Something Else Going On" happens. "Wow" is the first reaction you will get when credits of this episode will start rolling. Not even they managed to keep the tension in the first part of this episode, they managed to almost stop our hearts in middle and blow it at the end.
When you start thinking "Homeland" plot is going in one direction, they manage to surprise you, and whats the most important, they do it in the most realistic, plausible way.
Don't read any spoilers or synopsis about "There's Something Else Going On" and see it for your self - you can throw a rock at me if you'll find anything better currently on the small screen market.

What an episode it was. I couldn't move a bit throughout the episode. The show has reached its zenith with this episode, getting into the profound level of Terrorism and understanding their believes is what this show has done best. Its really sad seeing Saul to go through all this traumatize situation. Carrie as always was at her best, be it the Interrogating that coward Dennis or convincing Saul to not to give up. Tasneem (Nimrat Kaur) has proved to be the perfect nemesis of Carrie.
The whole season so far feels like a chess game, one side anticipates something and other is one step forward. The best part is it always proves the viewers wrong.
This episode also proved wrong to all who were saying that writers are running out of the ideas, well I would say they just started to get into the pragmatic world.
For me this season specially this episode was best till date. So I would just say "Carrie On, Don't Quinn too early" :)

Explosive drama at its best

Warning: Spoilers
Having let Saul be recaptured Carrie and the CIA agree to the prisoner transfer. Carrie hasn't lost sight of the fact that this release cannot be Haqqani's main objective; he caught Saul by chance rather than as part of some grand strategy
he must have a greater ultimate goal. While preparing for the exchange she starts to question the ambassador's husband although he denies all knowledge of the information passed to the Pakistanis. After a tense prisoner exchange it looks as if everything has gone to plan then it all goes very wrong in a way that leaves us wondering if key characters have survived and a realisation of what Haqqani is planning to do.
This is shaping up to be the best season of Homeland to date and this is one of the best episodes. After last week's dramatic escape and recapture of Saul I expected a quieter episode so when the episode reached its dramatic conclusion I was shocked. Most series would have brought up the end credits straight away but here we get a double cliff-hanger! The cast are all on top form making the dramatic events utterly believable even when we should be thinking 'that would never happen in reality' of course that is the key to a great drama. As the end credits rolled I was desperate to see what happens next.

Season 4 Contains Season 2's Addictive, Serialized Storytelling Technique
RyanCShowers25 November 2014
The second half of this season has an addictive, serialized storytelling technique, the same technique that made season 2 as great as it was. "There's Something Else Going On" sprouts with creativity and specializes in suspense, pressure, and tension. Claire Danes roars in the first half when she confronts and interrogates the man who switched Carrie's medication, causing her to spiral into a horrifying hallucination. The majority of the second half of "There's Something Going On" (or most of what you will remember from this episode) is the terrific prisoner exchange sequence. The gleaming camera work, the tender emotion found between Saul and Carrie, and quiet build-up make the extracting of Saul significant. The ending was exciting, though I knew once Saul was in the hands of the CIA that a twist would be coming, and sure enough, now we have the last bit of story to finish off the greatly improved season four.

A Great November

I have to say that I was really losing hope on this show since the beginning of season 4. I was very disappointed throughout the first 5 episodes.
But since "From A to B and Back Again", it's been outstanding. Not only are the last 4 episodes the best in the season, they even make this season the best in the whole series. Something that couldn't have seemed possible without Brody but seriously, well done!
"There's something else going on" is the cherry on top. A 45 minute ride of a thrilling, amazing, clever, tense and nail biting episode.
4 episodes in one great month beginning from the 2nd to the 24th. Indeed this is Homeland's best.

The Return of the 'homeland.'

The first impression anyone would get after watching this episode is "awesome." Though this series seemed bit sloppier and slow lately, this episode brought Homeland back on track. This episode keeps your heart pounding and tantalizes your imagination as to what would happen next and at the end - it is just 'WOW.' Carrie and Saul were at their best. It was really nice to see some matured acting from these actors.
Now I can't wait to see the next episode. I hope that the writers would keep up this pace in the coming episodes. It is indeed a great challenge for the writers to keep the flame burning. Thumps up for the writers from the coming episodes.
I personally rate this episode 9.9/10

Warning: Spoilers
There's Something Else Going On is the very best episode ever made by the homeland franchise. It has all the elements in it to be a mind gripping thriller.
After the previous weeks episode one thought that it can't get any better than this, but the makers of Homeland have outdone themselves this time around.
The storyline is very well written and the execution is also very good.
The best part of the episode was that it was unpredictable till the very end and finally when the credit appears in the end it will leave behind a sense of 'WOW'.
It would not be wrong to say that the episode was kind of inspired from 24 , with all the unexpected twists and turns that one would generally associate with an episode in '24'
Acting wise it is very good. Claire Danes was at her very best and all the side characters gelled in perfectly .

after I lost hope earlier this season , also I hope Brody come back next season I like every one on that shows , some of these dialogs was cliché doesn't happen much in our real life but at the end I like this episode a lot and I believe that the next one will be hell of a show million and million will be waiting for it no question asked as much as I never liked Carrie but she did well the last a few episodes , regardless to say that people in Pakistan and India and most of them in this regions hate USA to the most despite billions of aid we provide them with year after year
