Very entertaining documentary that takes a look at the music used in THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. Music consultants Budd Carr and Steve Pross talk about what the director wanted in regards to the soundtrack and then we get a pretty good history lesson on punk music from musicians Greg Hetson and John Sox as well as artists from 45 Grave (Dinah Cancer), SSQ (Karl Moet, Roky Erickson), T.S.O.L (Joe Wood), Tall Boys (Mark Robertson) and many others. If you're a fan of the music from this film then you'll certainly enjoy this documentary that clocks in at 29-minutes (on the Shout Factory version) and features plenty of great behind-the-scenes stories. You really get a great idea as to what they wanted the soundtrack to be and we get to hear from several of the artists on what they thought about their song being in the movie.
