More Than a Remake: An Interview with Paul Schrader (2014)

Director Paul Schrader talks about how he got the CAT PEOPLE script and why he decided to do the picture. Throughout this nine minute featurette the director is as open as you'd expect him to be including why he didn't like the idea of this being considered a remake and why in his eyes this had very little to do with the original. He also talks about how he wishes he could have changed the title. He talks about the visual style of the film as well as talking about why he thinks the box office numbers were kind of cold in America. For the most part this is another good featurette from Shout Factory as it's always great getting to hear from someone like Schrader and especially on a film that doesn't typically get so many special features. He certainly shares some nice stories about the production and what he thought about the film after seeing it recently.
