There's a ton of nice character stuff in here.The development of John and Jett works well and perhaps sees them becoming closer.Irene gets to step in and help out Roo, while April and Dexter are actually bearable and even raise a few chuckles.And there's some development of the Missing Harvy story.
Meanwhile, away from reality, the cult story is finally coming to a head.There's some interesting characterisation of Spencer, who for all his hero worship of Murray is clearly not completely gone, turning a blind eye to Evelyn breaking cult rules.Evelyn putting Spencer in the firing line so she can get evidence against Murray is slightly dubious morally, even if she didn't realise how far it would go, but it looks like they're both going to break free at last.
