Agent's of Shield continues to try and find it's footing in it's second episode, and it falters and teeters on a beam. While the interesting does introduce us to a cool new weapon and develops the team more, there is still problems that it faces.
The weapon found by the team is pretty badass. The destruction it caused to a plane is massive and I really want to see more of it.
Some of the team develops as we see another side to Ward other than the gruff, no nonsense spy. I like that as well as more things for Fitz and Simmons to do as they continue to be so much fun together as those two actor have crazy good chemistry. May continues to be an awesome warrior with a mysterious past. Ward called her the Cavalry so hopefully we'll get to hear the story about that.
Skye, however, continues to be a nuisance as she can't really find her place on the team and yet in the end she somehow is feeling connected to them enough to doubt her hacking group.
I'll also say that the effects were very hit and miss this episode. While the struggle in the corrupted plane and plasma beam were good, the whole life raft stops air from being sucked out of a plane at thousands of feet was just laughably bad.
Also, one more thing to mention...FURY! How incredible was it to see Samuel L Jackson pop up at the end.
+ Interesting technology + Fury! + Development for some characters - Not Skye - Some goofy effects.
Final Score: 7.2/10
