Two hours I'll never get back.

Just wasted two hours of my life watching this made for TV two parter. To start with the lead character was unconvincing and her motivations unclear. The story was muddled and the whole conclusion seemed rushed and truncated. The Eastern Europeans were two dimensional stereotypes which bordered on racist. I was hoping for something akin to 'Code of a Killer' or 'Safe House' dramas made by the terrestrial UK channels, however this Sky production shows they still are way behind when it comes to drama. I thought Mark Lewis Jones and Michael Smiley did their best with a very sub par script. Other than that it was a very forgettable experience.

A very poor dramatisation.

Troubled Detective Fiona Griffiths lands a job with Cardiff's murder squad, brought in because she's intelligent, Fiona has a very unique skill, a deep empathy for the dead. When a Lithuanian prostitute is killed, Fiona uses her own skills to investigate.

If you get a chance, read the book, it's a pretty good read, one I enjoyed, which makes this production all the more bad.

Such a wasted opportunity, it's a good story, but the realisation is shocking. Had this been made by The BBC or ITV, I think they could have done something with it, unfortunately it feels so amateur, so cheap.

Part one is the better of the two halves, the second part however is atrocious, you need a medal for getting through it, some of the accents are terrible.

I'm a big fan of Sophie Rundle, but she's shocking in this, she's so wooden, as are the majority of the cast, only Christine Tremarco and Russell Tovey perform.

4/10.
