Sex & Nudity

  • There is no actual sex or nudity in the film; however, it contains many sexual references, some of which are quite graphic. At one point, characters discuss the amount of money porn stars make, and one woman says that she would "bend over and take a horse" for that kind of money. There is also a brief reference to a woman having a lot of pubic hair. This is discussed, not shown.
  • A few women are shown in their bras and nightgowns in a few scenes.
  • There is a lesbian kiss in one scene.
  • A central theme throughout the film is the six women trying to move on from a traumatic event that involved them fighting off a rapist. In flashbacks throughout the film, a woman is seen lying unconscious on a bed, and the rapist is leaning over her. The woman is still fully clothed, but the rapist is shown without a shirt.
  • A woman claims to have jammed a knife into a man's dick hole.
  • A woman says that the group should "blow this fucker's nuts off".

Violence & Gore

  • A woman is attacked offscreen by a masked killer. She is later shown staggering into the house with three (not four or five as this originally said) knives sticking out of her back. Blood is shown around the injuries and trickling from her mouth.
  • A woman is beaten over the head repeatedly with an iron skillet.
  • A woman is hung from a tree. She is seen gagging and struggling.
  • A masked killer is beaten over the head with a whiskey bottle. The killer then takes the bottle, breaks it, and stabs a character in the throat with it. The character coughs up blood and gurgles for a few moments.
  • A killer douses two characters in gasoline and throws a lighter at them. One character is burned alive and is heard screaming for help. This scene is disturbing, but the special effects are not very realistic.
  • A woman is found with a knife sticking out of a bloody wound in her stomach. She then has her throat slit, and blood spurts from the wound.
  • Two characters fight, and both of them receive bloody injuries. One character has an arm broken. During the fight, a character loses an eye, and the empty socket is shown as a dark, bloody 'hole' (it is easily discernable that the actress's eye is closed).
  • A woman has her throat slit. She gags as she holds her throat, and a large amount of blood spills out.
  • A woman claims to have jammed a knife into a man's dick hole.

Profanity

  • There are about 32 F words, 1 C word, at least 30 to 40 uses of both the S and B words, 3 GDs, and several H, D, and A words. Religious exclamations several times. There are also several crude anatomical references.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Characters consume a lot of alcohol throughout the film.
  • The movie comes on with characters having a party where they are drinking, smoking marijuana, and taking acid. They are shown high and hallucinating. The scene has very strong drug content, but using it is not necessarily portrayed in a positive light.
  • A woman is given an injection with the intent of causing an overdose.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film revolves around six friends being terrorized by a masked killer. This may be intense for some. The mask is kind of creepy (see movie poster or DVD cover).
  • The characters are in peril for most of the movie. They frequently scream, cry, and run in fear.
  • Many of the attack and death scenes are bloody and intense. The hallucinations and flashbacks are also disturbing.
  • A masked killer watches characters from a distance, scaring them. The killer also suddenly appears in several scenes, resulting in several jump scares.
  • A woman's car breaks down, and she is left stranded on a secluded road in the dark. Her door locks suddenly start popping open, and she frantically tries to re-lock them.
  • The film addresses the themes of sexual assault, trauma, depression, and survivor's guilt. These may be sensitive issues for some viewers.
