Why so short?
Hbaskett116 December 2023
Love this series but why was this episode almost 20 min shorter than all previous episodes?! It seemed to go by so quickly and when we checked, this episode was 38 minutes while all previous episodes were 53-61 minutes. Seems odd to have such a variance between episode runtimes!

Never the less, great episode, Emma, Nathan and Benny are amazing. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Seeing there's only a few episode left I hope everything is wrapped up nicely! I have the upmost faith in Nathan Fielder, have been a fan of his for a while. Really can't wait to see how this one ends.

Thank youuuu!

more of the same

This series is really suffering from mid-season bloat. We get the idea.

Whitney is a privileged white girl who sees herself as an artist, eco-warrior, friend of the downtrodden, deliriously woke in every way. And of course oblivious to her own baloney.

Doug is a sad character suppressing deep unhappiness and guilt, and more or less subconsciously trying to steal Whitney away from Asher, like he would be an improvement. Lateral move at best.

Asher is probably a decent guy, if you dig down far enough, but he is so panic-stricken about keeping up with Whitney in all her inane pretensions, that he's becoming an even bigger neurotic headcase.

The little girl isn't creating the curse. These people are cursing themselves. Although it's intriguing to think she may be psychic. Too bad she's too young to sneak into a casino...

Oh well, we're moving into the final part of the season so no doubt things will start to pick up.

Warning: Spoilers
I see a few other people commenting on how this episode was shorter than the others and I definitely think that is a positive development. While this show is not a full blown comedy, it definitely leans more into that landscape and it is certainly odd to see it run for almost an hour week to week.

We still had some very bizarre comedy at times, and a lot more traditional than others. But it was still an entertaining episode. This is a show that is going to polarize a lot of people, and confuse a lot of others, but for the most part it is one that has me hooked in and invested in what the curse actually is.
