No polar bears in Antarctica!
hanoverstars26 November 2023
Really. Why write in a whole part of the story about Antarctica and then polar bears only not to know they don't go together. Sad that even in the cheesy Christmas movies we still can't do our homework and know that polar bears are in the ARCTIC - Not one person on the whole movie set didn't know this. Education is real.

So reviews have to be longer, so ... The rest is the usual cute Christmas classic Hallmark type movie. Cute characters. Never see the Inn, but it sounds cute. The couple are funny and add to the movie. The rest is sweet and predictable, but that's ok because that's really why we watch. But accuracy never hurts.

Really terrible script
andropeter2 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It starts off with a very rude girl who doesn't want to hear what her bf has to say. And the whole movie is that bad till the end.

She wants then to restore a destitute house in a couple of days for some people wedding. That is not plausible and she lies about the dog and about being married to a stranger.

Then her ex bf want to get back.

And he lies too to the couple.

The couple and their mother find out the truth. But they forgive them and get married there anyway, with no guests. And they pay an enormous amount of money for that.

All not plausible, very bad script, and all unpleasant situations for a Christmas movie. Not a feel good movie at all. Terrible.

Where's the Christmas cheer??
NikiSarah23 November 2023
This was sooo boring. The leading lady was not cheerful - maybe that was the plot but she totally looked like she didn't want to be in this movie. And the leading man, oh boy, he was so emotionless. The plot makes no sense either - it's like now they've thrown a bunch of Christmas cliches in a hat, pick a couple and make a movie out of them, doesn't matter if they go together or not.

There was no chemistry between the other characters either, like the couple that was supposed to be married at the B&B. In what world does a rich girl (with such a pretentious mother) marry a guy that's shorter than her?

Overall, boring and cheerless.

Not too bad

Warning: Spoilers
I think I am in the minority here but I actually liked this movie. It wasn't as bad I originally thought it was going to be. The only thing I didn't like was her best friend's hair. I thought the main characters had good chemistry. They were good for one another. My favorite couple was Eric & his fiancรฉe. Eric was hysterical. Him playing that forehead game had me on the floor laughing. Him also saying to Steven "look me in the eye and tell me like a man, "did you really see a polar bear?" ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Hilarious. That painting Cait drew was really good. The one thing I wished could have happened was Cait's best friend coming to the wedding. Overall, I liked the movie.

Delightful Christmas feel-good movie.
whdpxqvqs31 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Diverse characters dreaming of a better life and rescuing a childhood bed and breakfast. Complaints of a cheesy plot must come from inexperienced Hallmark movie watchers. To know Hallmark movies is to love a happy ending and a little bit of cheesy. Happy ever after is a Hallmark movie theme; and if it's Christmas, it's all the more beautiful.

The Christmas Venue offers a comic character who is simply hilarious with great comedic timing. On a scenic nature walk, the concerns about bears is comic relief.

The plot about saving an old Bread and Breakfast may be a frequent storyline, but the addition of the daughter escaping a failed relationship and meeting an old high school classmate is certainly a relief from the "my boyfriend dumped me at Christmas." Sit back, relax, and enjoy this funny Christmas story!
