a weekend
Kirpianuscus9 December 2023
A father and his son in weekend adventure, real promising . Plans, intentions, fun. A pub and entire funny universe , from tent to football falls.

Easy to define a serious fist of conclusions about its end, from the effects of alcohol to guilty after an embarrasing evening, from fear to lost his son if the mother knows the truth to the hopes of boy about better next time and his affection for father.

In short, just a great film for the chain of questions proposed and for gentle manner to explore a not so rare situation.

A film about vulnerability and truth.

Admirable first for the splendid performance of young Oscar. And for the final, predictable, indeed , but exactly for this hopped to not be.

A journey in 1990's Ireland

I absolutely loved this short film. The director brings us on a poignant and heartwarming journey in 1990's Ireland through the eyes of a young boy. Oscar's weekend escapade with his father begins with a warmth and sweetness, but leads to an uncomfortable place as human weakness's and vulnerability emerge.

Each scene is meticulously crafted, blending humor and emotional depth, creating a narrative that's both entertaining and thought-provoking. The young actor playing Oscar's ability to convey the complexities of youth, with its innocence and eagerness, is nothing short of remarkable.

A true gem.
