Some more twists and turns and resolution.

A very interesting episode with some creative tying up of loose ends. What I liked is the way some previous elements were put together along with how this plotline was resolved along with placement of some juicy possibilities for the future.

While I am not going to give anything a way, I find that I like Lieutenant Lane much more now and have from the beginning of the series. He epitomizes the Correct conduct of an Officer and a Gentleman and the way in which he follows military protocols in crisis situations.

I have to say though that I felt that some of the intimacy was forced on the actors and that enough development of interplay between the characters hadn't been introduced and I hope that the Producers, Director and Writers will back off a little to make it more organic.

Secrets

I've really settled into this show now. The characters have become well-rounded, staying consistent to themselves. There was some good science fiction in this episode. There was a big crisis on the ship, the crew had to work together to figure out how to solve this crisis (and realistically more lives were lost), the crew leadership had to move past their own egos. Now, there were some crew interactions that were too middle school/giggle giggle/hello kitty for my taste, and is not usually seen in sci-fi shows that are drama and not comedy. Secrets were revealed throughout and at the end, not sure what these mean or will lead to but they act as suspense for future episodes.

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back
Prismark1025 February 2024
It certainly is One Step Forward, Two Steps Back for the ship's crew. They just overcome one obstacle and they encounter another one.

This time a radiation leak that puts the ship in peril. Once again Brice volunteers for a suicide mission.

Before all that Spencer Lane finds out about Garnet's clone status. He is still smarting how she obtained the leadership role.

Only others do not care that having a clone in charge will jeopardise their mission.

I think the crew of the Ark know that they are already cursed with bad luck.

The person to step into the breach is not Brice. It is someone who has nothing to lose by going into a room with radiation. Felix Strickland caught his murderer.

I thought the murder aspect of the show would run and run. The writers have another arc in mind.

Although there is no getting away from the peril of the week scenario.
