Excellent and Thought provoking. Brilliance at its best

One of the best i watched. I've no words to express the way my heart sang after i watched this. Just brilliant. Pls spare your time to watch this honest show. Just beautiful narration, screenplay and pure emotions. Every character has that originality which will immerse you in deep thinking and will let you question back

Every "judgemental" village, town, city, family will need a girl like TamizhSelvi. I just hope n wish this show will bring a lot of education and change the superstitious minds of those stupid people who don't let progression happen. Like one positive thought which can destroy demotivation, and help towards positivity, this show should bring that lustrous ray of light which will eradicate darkness.

Hats off Muthu Kumar and your thoughts! You're just fantastic.

This series extraordinary spoke the existed reality of our ancestral girls and women. Even though there is no such kind of discrimination doesn't exist now a days, They face consequences in different paths. But the impact of the problems given to them is same. This series gave motivation and intimated the pain of every girl. Inspite of being a male, I was really impressed with the genre and the story and screenplay presented. This series sternly attacked the the people who had mad superstitious beliefs then and now also. I expect more and more kind of movies and series like this hereafter. Full satisfactory.

Very apt & compelling screenplay

I was wondering why film or webseries makers didn't touch this subject so far. And I am glad it came from Tamil industry and the roots of the story and the point they took are very genuine.

Any girl from any corner in the villages or small towns of India could relate to the story line and the lead girl character or the mom's character.

Awesome point told in an Apt way to the present society. I wish more such genuine content is created in India and ppl watch and try to think logically and wisely and adapt to the current times we are living.

Kudos to the writer, director and a special thanks to the producers for believing in this genuine content and trying to bring a good change in the society through their web series.

I wish this web series is appreciated by people and it gets more views and bring the producers money. Then more such sensitive subjects will be touched and dealt.

Interesting Web-series about Irrational Customs

#Ayali #ayalireview Very interesting from the 1st minute of the title. Definetly good watch for this week without a doubt. OTT choice is good so that story can evolve slowly.

Must watch if you are looking for good story. Mother - daughter combo is good. This mother has good future in Tamil movies for mother character which is vacant now.

Till 7th episode was fine. Eighth episode is so fast to finish the story. No one will be easily change their long lasting customs in a single Day. From the beginning of this episode I was waiting for how the director/ story writer solves this issue at the last episode.

Directors are good in explaining the issues and no one gives the idea/solution on how to solve it.

Must watch series

It is a heavy plot with nice screen play, no extras. Many scenes it made me to feel overwhelmed i was crying inside me. Very motivating series my hearty congrats to the team and i wish they need to give more series as such. This series even though it portrays a periodic happening but it is still close to heart, like a day today happenings, it made me to feel heavy hearted. Victory of Tamilselvi was like victory of my own. They people whomever shown in this series has justified their character. Face off truth no one can criticise this series negatively they evolution of 90s to 21st century was shown in last few minutes was really acceptable thanks a lot to the team whomever made my time worth.

Strong story plot supported by excellent acting performance

Story plot is very strong and shockingly relatable to till date with many women in my life. Some of the customs are still happening in many places that I know.

Thanks to the whole team and for the actors who gave the top notch performances. All of them acted like well experienced actors. 💐

I remember In 90s , there was a thing about Mangalsutra and all the heros and villains used to tie that for women to make the story twist. It was well accepted that time. The way the director broke that stigma got my applause. I enjoyed this scene so much. Please continue break all these stigmas in the upcoming seasons 🙏

Drawback in my opinion:🎢 Could have avoided a cinematic type villain .

In real life the fear about the society and its myths are the actual villains. That could have been emphasized without typical old villain sequences.

Some unnecessary comedy like scenes which could be avoided.. Mythili is literally crying in all of her scenes. While I adore her acting , this could have been reduced.

Unlike many other characters, no one will change overnight in real life .. but the society will change when they watch someone to go fight and also succeed in their life.

Finally I hope to see how Tamizh gets to her dream and how she tackles many other problems in upcoming seasons.

Well worth of your watching time ..go for it 👍

One of the best web series I have ever watched, it has made me to cry, laugh & think. I must mention all the actors have acted perfectly, top notch performances by all village women & girls. After u watched the series u will definetely think & care about our mother & wife & daughter & all women who are all involved our lives. We should go & ask them that what do u like & what do u want to be & are you happy that what you are doing ? Best social message telling series . Thanks to the whole team.

That girl who has done the title role abhi nakshatra & her mother anumol & some of the village women all are having a great acting career in future I hope.

Fantastic story and screenplay

Wow, big congrats to the writer for brought the real scenario of village girls education.

Screenplay is awesome. Background music is top notch. Well suited for every scene.

Actors performance is top. Every actor / actress is mingled with their roles and performance is excellent.

Especially tamil and her mom scenes are so real and lovely.

After a long time, a great webseries seen.

Plot also good and brought lot of social live issues .

Muthukumar did a great job. You deserved a lot sir.

Seen 8 episodes continuously and i didn't feel bored. It's very interesting and brought me to my sofa edge sometimes.

Congratulations to the team for the great web series.

Just an average series

Entire story revolves around making some issues too big. It looks like the director wants to take the credit of ongoing things in society and narrated in such a way that everything about the beliefs are senseless. Many of these webseries really making society believe that girls are being treated very bad in society. However, it is not true and it's case to case basis.

The things about girls education and empowering them with education is something that we need to really think about. Sad part is that every women oriented webseries blindly started accusing society and beliefs which is not correct.

A girl VS The Society following strict superstitious custom

Pros - Ayali is a well written social drama . Story of a girl who is fighting against the superstitious custom and tradition in her village for Women's basic rights . World building was great , Veerappannai village is just reflection of our India , group of people in name of protecting culture and tradition trying to stop the progression for their own benefits in politics and lifestyle . Not only in the case of women's oppression , we can easily relate this village condition with other social problems too . Muthukumar as writer did a well in screenplay and dialogue writing , narration keeps you intrigued right throughout the series and dialogues were hard hitting . Cast did a great job in performance and justified their characters . Technically , Visuals and cinematography was good .

Cons - Dubbing and editing was bit odd in few places .

Third act quite rushed to the conclusion .

Overall a binge worthy social drama Series to watch with your FAMILY .

Out of age, repetitive, passable

0This series could have been called "ground breaking" if it came before 40 years. Repetitive story line of the same idea, and usual villian cliches and bad commercial comedy takes a big hit on watchability. Many portrayals of characters and incidents seem very out of age atleast for South India. Director/Writer missed to explore lot of areas surrounding the initial premise around which the whole story is supposed to revolve. "Patriarchy" seems to have been forcefully shoved down audience's throat. Comedy scenes between Tamil selvi and her mother is the only life saver and serves as a breather for the dragging and repetitive story. Overall a passable series.

Good one to watch with family

The first two episodes sets the base for the movie and highly predictable each and every scene. Bear these one, then it started its pace and content with further episodes.

The content and the dialogs are the best part of this series. And the director stick to that one till the very end of the series. The cast and acting was perfect. The dialogs are so hard hitting and some scenes are very bold and straight to the point.

Highly recommended...

How our myths need to change based on changes in society especially in matters relating to women

It's not a story, it may be truth. Maybe in some villages people are following these type of traditions that a girl should marry when she attain a certain age and they're restricting dreams of them. This series will be a tight slap on them.

This story deals with a small village which is far away from all the changes in world and full of myths especially regarding women. How this will be changed by a school girl is the story.

The director dealt all the sensitive issues in sensible manner and make us feel the same. The writing itself is so good you can't even turn your eyes from that.

You can't even take eyes from the main lead, she's has such an amazing smile and mesmerizes us with her mature acting. If not she no one can perform better. She is the true superstar. And her mother character, Wow Just Wow, Her Eyes, Her Smile, You Just fall In love with her acting in scenes between her and her daughter. We all remember our mothers when we watch her. She had that much impact on that role.

Overall the performances are outstanding from all the actors especially main leads friends.

Do watch with your family because this should be watched.

Spread a word about this series and let the msg reach many parts of the society.

The Tamil Industry will always amaze us with raw, rustic and with genuine stories which are real in every sense. Big fan of their work.

A DECENT SOCIAL DRAMA

Ayali is a bold and sensible drama that every one of us should watch. Though the relevancy might be questionable giving the fact that we are in the 20th century like the director MuthuKumar says there are multiple towns where women are disrespected and married of at a very young and gullible age.

Positives:

The brilliant performances enacted by the sensible actors who understand the extent of acting are the strength for this series. Abi Nakshatra the lead actress is convincing in most parts but the parts were she acts to brilliant are a bit annoying.

Anumol, Madhan, TSR and Lingaa are good in portraying their roles. Gayathri is fantastic.

The screenplay, humor and the way the story dealt by Muthu is the reason this series is good

A good production value and well made

Negatives:

Over acting in few scenes.

Lengthy Lots of lags

Verdict:

A worthy web series which has its minor flaws but overall a good watch!
