Fighting to Survive
claudio_carvalho10 February 2022
Anne and Alexis are missing and Professor Kadar discloses that Alexis is an alien to Weaver, Peralta and a few others. Weaver organizes a search group to look for them. Meanwhile Tom and Pope survive the plane crash but Bressler does not make it. The friction between Tom and Pope Increase and Tom twists his ankle and Pope is forced to leave him behind. Marina shows Professor Kadar the photos of what the Volm are building, surprising him.

"Search and Recover" is another episode of "Falling Skies" with good and bad storylines. The discovery of Prof. Kadar is intriguing and search party for Anne and Alexis has good scenes. However the fight between Tom and Pope while trying to survive in the forest is stupid. Pope rescuing Tom is one of the best moments of the show. My vote is seven.

Can you survive a plane crash
MajorBaleegh13 February 2021
As this is a TV show so our lead always survives and how he does it is a million dollar question. I mean seriously he is like a super hero, coming out alive and well in every situation either an alien kidnapping or a skirmish, or a coup and even the plane crash where the survival rate is almost zero percent ; he never fails, well it does not happen like this in real life. As the president of the new America after alien invasion he is working in every event, every raid or ambush and is always victorious. It should have been more realistic that is pure fiction and that too at its limit.

Perfection, but some people seem confused.

Warning: Spoilers
Okay, I want to explain the dead snake Tom/Pope fight scene in this episode for what it really is because a lot of people seem really confused and I don't know why. Tom is upset already at Pope because of the story that Pope told Tom the night before about how he got put in jail and how he had involved his son in it. I'm sure that with Tom's father being a careless drunk this story reminded Tom of his own childhood. In a way Tom probably sees Pope as a continuation of his own father which makes his hatred for Pope even stronger than it already was before, so when Pope tries to play a cute and friendly joke on Tom in an effort to be friends it is no wonder why Tom gets upset at Pope. I would too if I were Tom. This was his way of telling Pope that they are not friends and they never will be which is probably the exact same way Tom feels about his father. This connection Tom feels between Pope and his own father only increases his hatred for Pope, so ultimately, even if Pope tries to be friendly to Tom, Tom will probably never be able to forgive or accept Pope because he never even received the chance to forgive or accept his father.
