Gripping from start to finish
kanazaja15 September 2015
Totally unprepared of how much of an emotional roller-coaster this was. Harrowing I think the word is. Grips you from start to finish, totally bind-sided me at the end, without saying too much. Highly recommend. The acting is absolutely flawless in every character, even the cameos and even though due to the plot being complicated, the structure is somewhat ebbing and flowing, you never once look away from the screen.

Great leading performances and the kid actors, wow. Big Gavin Clark fan as well so couldn't believe it when I heard him sing the title track.

Hard to say too much without giving the plot away but story will floor you by the end. My wife and I had a good 'ol sob though, so do be aware its a bit sad in places. Happy ending though! kinda...

Surprisingly Brilliant

Hadn't heard about this so obviously a little sceptical but trailer looked good. Wow though, explores so much and just as I was wondering where it was going, it took me through nearly every emotion imaginable in 30 minute!! Really has a sad scene in it though without spoiling anything but engaging from start to finis. Definitely recommend to those wanting something thought-provoking. The trouble is British drama used to be gritty with some thought to it, now its just violence and hooligans, but this has so much more to wrap your head around.

The positives include the acting, casting and script. If I could say any negatives, it'd probably be the language and a violent scene that I don't think were needed. That said, others may find it more suitable.

British drama about the lives of individuals suffering hardships, and how their lives intertwined into adulthood.

Brilliantly raw and exciting British Drama, full of twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Incredibly written, directed and acted! Containing themes of addiction, abuse and isolation, the film keeps you guessing throughout whilst questioning the true meaning of forgiveness. Though a drama, I found the writing to be sprinkled with humour that made me laugh out loud, giving the audience an opportunity to digest the though provoking themes that the film offered. I recommend to anyone who enjoys a British Classic!

I really enjoyed this film and have watched it again and again. I am actually using it in my dissertation for my film degree because I found it very inspirational.
