It’s official: the DC Universe officially has its new Clark Kent and Lois Lane.
On Tuesday, news broke that David Corenswet would take on the role of the Man of Steel in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman: Legacy, the film that will introduce a new slate at DC, courtesy of Gunn and Peter Safran.
Legacy is one of the projects featured in what the co-heads of film at the studio dubbed Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters, which is set to tell stories across TV and film. Other titles include Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and The Authority.
According to Gunn, the film follows Corenswet’s Clark Kent/Superman as he learns to balance his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, thanks to parents Jonathan and Martha Kent in Smallville, Kansas. Corenswet will star alongside Rachel Brosnahan, who takes on the role of Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane.

Harry Hadden-Paton, Maura Tierney and Sasha Lane have joined the ensemble cast for Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. and Amblin Entertainment’s Twisters, a new chapter following the 1996 storm-chasing blockbuster Twister.

Exclusive: Australian actor Pallavi Sharda has signed with ColorCreative and WME for representation in all areas.
Sharda most recently starred in the Netflix romantic comedy feature Wedding Season, which was in their top five globally for the first two weeks after it premiered in August 2022. She recently wrapped filming the role of “Ash” in the FX network pilot The Answers, executive produced by Darren Aronofsky and Danny Strong.
In her native Australia, Sharda can currently be seen starring opposite Sam Neill in the limited series The Twelve for Warner Bros TV Australia and Foxtel, which is being distributed internationally by Lionsgate TV. Her previous credits include the 2016 Oscar-nominated feature Lion, opposite Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman; the Warner Bros feature Tom & Jerry opposite Chloë Grace Moretz and Colin Jost; Gurinder Chadha’s limited series Beecham House for ITV/PBS; and the Netflix limited series The One.

Pretty Little Liars alum Lucy Hale has been cast in the upcoming FX pilot, The Answers, based on the critically acclaimed novel of the same name by Catherine Lacey. The FX pilot based on the Catherine Lacey novel “The Answers” is rounding out its main cast with six new additions, Variety has learned.
Lucy Hale, Raul Esparza, Krys Marshall, Melanie Field, Pallavi Sharda, and Kineta Kunutu have all joined the drama pilot alongside previously announced cast member David Corenswet.
Per the official logline, the show takes place in the near future and follows “a heartbroken young woman who joins an enigmatic experiment that promises to hack love. But after moving into an idyllic, secluded location with her fellow female participants, she and the other women start questioning what’s really happening in the experiment, and why they’ve all been tasked with dating the same mysterious man.”
Corenswet will star as Christopher Skye. Hale will star as Mary. Esparza will star as Dr. Crowe. Marshall will play Ellis. Field will play Dani. Sharda will play Ash. Kunutu will play Nic.
