Very Little Empathy

I agree with the guy who said that this has become a typical lawyer drama. The charm of the lawyer working from his car has disappeared. Partly it was the fame he received during the events of the first season. Secondly, the Cisco thing is a distraction. What does it have to do with anything? But the third is strictly on me, the viewer. I don't like the client. She is dishonest and intractable. She won't follow simple directions. Something is going on. I think her ex-husband is involved in some way (there must be some reason he is so uncooperative). This episode has me a little cold. Did the podcast guy hire the thugs? He must have stolen the file. Mickey is going to be in really bad shape. Now I have to wait a month.

Why is this called "The Lincoln Lawyer"?
ak20209 July 2023
I rated this series high in series 1, and for the first couple of episodes of this series 2.

However, as the first 5 episodes in Part 1, before the summer break, have progressed I have reduced my ratings, giving episode 5 only a "6".

Firstly, this second series has progressively moved away from the Lincoln car - such that it hardly figures in this last episode. It has turned into a conventional legal series just like so many others from LA.

Also, the stories have been padded out too much with side stories involving Lorna and Cisco, which makes what should be four episodes into five and deflects away too much from what was the unique working of a lawyer who works from his car.

Very disappointing. Hopefully, Part 2 will be better.

Not nearly as good as season one

We just finished this episode as we binge watch and I'm having a hard time getting through this season.

First of all, he's hardly in the Lincoln. You could drop these storylines into "The Good Wife" or "Suits" and it'd be the same thing as them. There's nothing differentiating this series from any other procedural drama out there. Nothing.

Secondly, the actress playing the client is either really bad at acting or horribly written. There are some scenes that seem right out of a soap opera written in 1983. I'm leaning toward a terrible performance. I know we're suppose to have our doubts about the character, but when the character is horribly portrayed (or written), as the viewer I get too distracted by the portrayal to invest in the show.
