A rant about climate change.
Sleepin_Dragon22 September 2023
Samantha and Jay's new neighbours decide to pull down an age old tree, a tree that holds significant meaning for Sasappis. A protest is held, and an expert called in.

I enjoyed the main body of the story, and there were a couple of funny moments, the protests were amusing, Sasappis's story was pretty moving, and I enjoyed Thor's love story playing out, but ....

Ouch, now I'm all for subtle messaging about climate change, etc etc, but this was way too heavy handed, it's supposed to be an uplifting, quirky comedy show, but they laboured the point too heavily, it became guilty of becoming preachy, time and a place guys, we ended up with Viking Eco warrior Thorfinn, I'd sooner believe in pacifist Darth Vader.

A mixed bag, it could have been funny and memorable, instead it just became a little irritating.

6/10.

Warning: Spoilers
They are working overtime to make the supporting cast a crucial part of the show moving forward this season, and that has been a mixed bag for me. On the UK version they feel like they matter a bit more, but they also feel like they are cast a bit better than this one.

This was a decent story, both before the lie and after the lie, but I feel like they let the gang off a little bit easy. In real life when the cancel culture mob comes for you there is absolutely no stopping it so there would be no route back for the bed and breakfast owners after this mistake and people got a hold of it on Twitter.
