For as much time as I’ve spent worrying about Rihanna over the past couple years, you’d think she was a friend of mine… Maybe a close acquaintance… At least an old high-school friend who I occasionally run into at T.J.Maxx. Adele made headlines this week when she flashed her middle finger during the Brit Awards. The singer's naughty gesture took place when she was interrupted during her acceptance speech for the Album of the Year award for her record-breaking 21.
It all went down when the show's host, British TV presenter and actor James Corden, hit the stage mid-speech and cut her off to introduce Brit rockers Blur's performance. In the heat of the moment, the chart-topping British songstress threw up her middle finger to the show's producers. In an interview with The Sun, Corden opened up about the headline-making moment.

Adele showed her saucy side at the Brit Awards on Tuesday night in London when she flashed her middle finger.
When the 21 singer took the stage to accept her second award, for Album of the Year, she was interrupted by the night's host, British TV presenter and actor James Corden. He was ready to introduce Blur, who were set to perform right after Adele accepted her award, the Daily Mail reported.
"Nothing beats coming home with six Grammys and then coming to the Brits and winning album of the year," she told the room, filled with A-listers like Coldplay, Rihanna and Bruno Mars, before Corden stepped onstage beside her. His appearance was reportedly met with boos.

Adele has apologised for sticking her middle finger up at the Brit Awards crowd as her Awards acceptance speech for Best British Album was cut short. And the singer clarified that the insult "was meant for the suits at the Brits, not her fans".
Brits host James Corden was forced to stop the Someone Like You singer mid-speech, just as she began to thank all those who had helped her with her record-breaking album, in order to allow Blur to kick off their show-closing set.
Speaking afterwards, soul star Adele said: "I'd like to say I got cut off and I did the middle finger, but it was for the suits at the Brits that cut me off, not my fans.
"I'm sorry if I offended anyone, the suits offended me. I'd like to take the chance now, which I didn't get earlier, to thank all of my fans."

If the Brit Awards involve handing out the gongs to the great and good of the music industry, the performances are just as crucial to the success of the night, and organisers really pulled it out of the bag on this front last night.
Adele, the queen of the night with two major awards - for Best British Female Solo Artist and for Best British Album - brought her freshly-repaired voice home with her from the Us, where she had brought the house down at the Grammys with Rolling in the Deep.
Sure enough, she hit her spot again at the Brits, awing the audience with her soulful, powerful rendition. Last year's spine-tingling Someone Like You was always going to be hard nay impossible to surpass, but this year's performance revealed a more assured performer, confident of her appeal to an audience of this size, and happily singing about a...

Rihanna is on everybody’s lips today over her numerous new collabos with Chris Brown, but we’d rather talk about what’s on Rihanna’s lips instead. And what’s on her head. And what’s on her body. We appreciate RiRi’s continued dedication to not giving a rat’s tiny behind what other people think of her, but she is straight up wearing a gigantic hooded sweatshirt Snuggie and pumps on her way to The Brit Awards 2012 in London. Did she have the word “Rich” embroidered on the front specifically to remind us why she can get away with wearing this ensemble outside? Maybe Rihanna could care a little bit. Either that, or she should just go for broke and slip into a Forever Lazy. All we need is one celebrity to get on board, and we’ll start wearing ours as a power suit.
