One DirectionThey were part of The X-Factor (UK)in 2010, they were in the "bootcamp" stage when they were told they would not make it in the 'boys' category. One Direction was formed on July 23, 2010. Judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, and Louis Walsh felt they were too talented to be sent home.
