Chris and Derek kick off season 8 with a look back at the year 2022 in pop culture. They discuss movies, TV shows and songs from the past year and also reminisce about some of the celebrities that passed away in 2022. For the trivia segment of the show, Chris has Derek try and guess the movies in which several songs come from. For some added fun, Chris must sing the songs to Derek.

Chris and Derek are joined by former radio personality, Greg Martin to discuss their favorite movies about music. Rather than focusing on movie musicals, the guys instead discuss movies that feature music as a central part of the plot in some way. They each run down their personal top 5 list of favorites. For the trivia segment of the show, Greg has to guess which movies certain songs appear in. To make things more interesting (?), Chris is forced to sing the songs (making Greg's job a hundred times harder than it should be).
