We can see you, and you're as fake as all hell...

The 'person' who gave this episode a 2\10 score is emblematic of the problems with the ratings system of this site.

It's 'their' only review, and the account was set up on the day of the review.

Is no-one moderating this site at all?!

I guess that's what happens when you put the robots in charge... Anyway, a fun episode with some fantastically subtle jokes- the race-swapped Nibbler one which pokes fun at the current situation in Hollywood being a particular favourite.

I was worried that the move to Hulu might unduly affect the writing quality of the show, but so far, it's been much better than I expected, and my hopes are high for the rest of the season.

A back to form 8\10 🍄

Nice title at least

Warning: Spoilers
This episode features Nibbler's brain deteriorating because of the parasites in his litter box. As the title implies, it's the same parasites that were making Fry smarter in an earlier episode. At least I remember that one. I had no idea they would spin off into tiny parasites from one giant worm. This was a weaker episode. The main twist didn't come until the very end.

It revealed that the parasites were making Nibbler dumber because they had parasites within them. I thought they were going to shrink down further and fight them. Instead, they just stepped on them. I wonder why they didn't just do that to the normal parasites? Anyway, it was still nice to see callbacks to the earlier episodes. Zoidberg is now probably my favorite character. ***

It's the best episode of the season so far

After the previous 3 episodes, I can definitely say this is the best one. I find it weird that so far this episode has the lowest rating. I would say, watch it and keep an open mind.

To me, the fourth episode felt like classic Futurama, but instead of traveling to a weird planet, they travel to a... litter box. Lots of Dune references will be made. Sorry, I mean, Doon... G. We also get to see more of Nibler, Leela, and Professor Farnsworth's silly inventions, and just the crew's crazy adventures. The pacing is great, as there is no moment that is boring. Every second is either important to the story or joke. So what can I say, I felt entertained. I would honestly love it if all new episodes were like this.

Fantastic!

Loving this season of Futurama. 🤖

Whilst the gags are generally right on the nose and right in front of you, they still make me laugh and I'm finding the journey into the gags very clever.

It's the small touches that make the obvious rip off of Dune (and other parodies this season) so good. The search for the Quiznos Cadillac, worms within worms, even the Roach Thopters. It's all blatantly obvious, but whilst you're expecting it (and nice meta-yet-external reference to M. Night Shyamalan), the way they deliver it makes it all work.

Futurama always made me think more, and Simpsons made me LOL - now, Futurama is making me LOL too!

Good news everyone - this is a fantastic epsiode!

Annoying

I haven't seen dune so I don't know if that would've made it better or worse, but my god we have probably my least favourite episode of the show. Kind of says how good a show is when the worst episodes is just a 4/10.

The stuff I liked: the episode has creative visuals. The standard animation and voice acting is good, the characters are written decently.

The stuff I dislike: the episode just wasn't funny and the Dung jokes got stale quick. The parody has nothing interesting. I was bored.

I'm running out of things to say. This episode just left me feeling nothing, just like the last. I've heard the next one is good...it better be.

Meh....

From the simple idea that you can buy an egg salad sandwich at an interstellar gas station vending machine, to the heartfelt blossoming romance between Fry and Leela with the ultimate realisation that life often lumps you with people that fail to meet your expectations and a swashbuckling adventure along the way, the original outing for the parasitic worms was a blast, just brilliant!

How do you top that? Well it would seem that sadly you can't.

There's nothing really wrong with this episode it's just not that great and with the build up of expectation from a new series and the greatness of the earlier episode this simply feels like a let down.

The writers appear to be playing it very safe, touching on previous plot lines or characters without much originality. The show should be limited by the whole of time and space but here we are with yet another film parody going over old ground.

Futurama has it's comic genius but the main draw, for myself at least, has always been the adventure and most importantly the show had heart. I want to be blown away by an original and exciting storyline and left feeling warm inside with a touch of bittersweetness that Fry and Leela just missed out on being together but knowing they'll get there one day even if we don't get to see it happen.

The show has been treated badly by the networks over the years which is a crying shame, more Futurama should be a blessing but perhaps we should have been left reliving the glory days and wanting more rather than ending up disappointed by mediocrity.

ugh.........jesus

The episode is called return of the parasites and yet has nothing to do with Fry regaining the parasites. Which is unfortunate.. But instead doing a dune paraody could have actually worked out if it wasnt done in such a stupid, unfunny way.

Dun-g. Was funny. Probably the only funny thing in this episode.

But Nibbler giving up his life-basically so that parasites can live..Nibbler?...part of the super advanced super intelligent universe saving creatures...wants to die so that parasites can live.

HOW STUPID. What a stupid idea with poor execution on top of that and a very un funny parody of Dune and you get the worst futurama episode ever made.!!!
