From the Liceu in 2009, this is a very enjoyable performance. Miah Persson, who sang Sophie in Rosenkavalier some years ago, here shows her baroque skills as Poppea; her Nero is Sarah Connolly who is unparalled in baroque opera. Xavi Bove's direction doesn't bother me, and he has annoyed me in the past.
